Ordered Lorde, Pure Heroine(bent cover) &
The Raconteurs, Broken Boy Soldiers (seam split) from SSD last night.

Does anyone have a recommendation on getting cardboard off a record? Water damage causing sleeve to stick to record.

I don't know where to post this so I will try here…I just set up my turntable.. I played a new vinyl and during it the sound goes from clear to muffled….than I put in another relatively new vinyl and the sound is clear than later becomes muffled? Any ideas?!

check to make sure the pins are in the cartridge of the stylus, I hope I am describing this right, but I had some issues with the sound fading out and being muffled-ish and I used a pair of tiny plyers to tighten them to the cartridge and that fixed that for me, they tend to be sensitive

Sounds like you may need to have your cartridge aligned better. If you are getting more distortion as your tone arm moves towards the center of the LP, its usually due to Cartridge alignment.

Nice Tim, both great records, I have that Zooropa too, like it a lot. So you have all their albums on vinyl now? Good effort!

Yeah. First pressings of all of them and the 3 singles collections. Some 12"a and remix EPs too, but I'm not set on getting all of those.

Thats a lot of U2, what's your fave album? I go for 'Achtung Baby' or 'Zooropa', though 'The Joshua Tree' is pretty faultless...

I'd probably have to say Achtung. But I have a real soft spot for Zooropa and Pop too. Achtung is the album that made me fall in love with the band. So, I'll have to say that's my favorite. I have more copies of that than any other U2 LP.

I have a bootleg I bought in Dublin, an original US pressing and then the reissue from a couple of years back.

More for collector reasons as this box set with J'sG Acts I, II & III is pretty darn rare since no one wanted it when it was released in '87 (because everyone already had the two separate releases from '79, J'sG Act I and J'sG Acts II & III). Also FZ remastered them with this box set (and CD) release. It was also cool to buy it off the original owner at a flea market, who kept it in absolute mint condition (the records had not been played!)
