And so you see, I have come to doubt

    I stand alone without beliefs

I haven't gone on a vinyl shopping spree for a while, but will do it soon again :D

And have you seen that discogs implemented a new feature - you can now see the estimated value of your collection, based on the sales of the last weeks. That is kind of cool. I don't want to sell anything, but it's good info :)

That is a really cool feature! I'll never sell anything either (unless for some reason I decide I hate some album that I love now I guess), but it's very good info for insurance purposes!

    bring up your collection.

there is the word VIEW at the top right side of the page.

    use the 4th view, statistics.

it will then give you minimum, medium and maximum dollar amounts of your collection. You can sort it by clicking the blue words, min, med, max and toggle it that way. THEN, once you have it sorted how you want it, click on the 3rd view, LARGE ICONS, then it will give you avatars of your records in the order you chose.

    cute.

BUT Extremely inaccurate. IF a record hasn't been sold on the site, it doesn't factor into it. So if you have some rare stuff, this will be missing. Also, I find prices in general on discogs are outrageous.

anybody want to go first and reveal your MAX Dollar Amount? :?:
    Van '98, Sea I+II '00, Sea '01, Sea II '02, Van '03, Gorge, Van, Cal, Edm '05, Bos I+II, Phi I+II, DC, SF II+III, Port, Gorge I+II '06, DC, NY I+II '08, Sea I+II, Van, Ridge , LA III+IV' 09, Indy '10, Cal, Van '11, Lond, Van, Sea '13, Memphis '14, RRHOF '17, Sea I+II '18, Van I+II, Vegas I+II '24

    Ah ha! Thank you. :)
My max amount is $201, for Lost Dogs. Of course, I still need all the others that cost more than that. :( What I do like about the results is that I haven't allowed myself to be ripped off yet.
According to the stats though, No Code prices have really fallen off. Sweet for those still needing it. And the first pressing Vitalogy is dirt cheap now - the max said $38 or something. Yay reissues!

  • A little dive bar here hosts record sales like once every couple of months and I'm going tomorrow. Usually about 5-6 dealers bring their stuff out and there's probably about 50 crates to dig through. Cant wait! I'll post my finds tomorrow night :)

The vinyl itself is all in good condition. A few of the jackets are a little tattered though.

You're the one who went to that bar with the record sales, right? If so, Jesus christ, I wish there were a bar like that in my town!! Blood on the tracks? Awesome!! Just pre-ordered the reissue the other day... for a third of what you paid for all of those albums you listed!

Yep! They hold them like every 2 months. Believe it or not, the most I paid for any single album was $10 for Funkadelic, figured no record collection is complete without a little Clinton 8-) Paid $6 for Dylan and its in great shape. Excited to spin ALL of these.

You know, I was so occupied with my friends and being happily drunk, I completely forgot to even look at the merch. That was really stupid of me. :fp:
