The Yankees faced Cristian Javier twice this year at home and went 167 pitches before they got a hit off him.

Going to rain all day. Wonder if they'll postpone

To be honest. I think the game that was postponed against the Guardians helped us. And Francona's decision to not go with a different starter or opener. Usually when a game is postponed for us in the playoffs it costs us. Like against Detroit in 05 or 06 I think.

I don't think it's going to rain hard though. And it's going to rain until Wednesday. So it would be hard to postpone

I could be wrong, but I gotta think Judge’s postseason is gonna hurt his bottom line.

If they don't bring back Cashman. It will be hard to find someone who can build a winning team. Unless Theo comes. And you can't fire Boone because he's doing what they want him to do. The same reason Dave Roberts wasn't fired. But if Cashman isn't brought back. Probably a good chance Boone won't either. Even though they extended him

I am very obviously of the opinion that Cashman should be gone. I also get there’s real risk in that. I just think it’s time for a new leader/voice. Something’s not working, clearly

Gotta say, taking the bird from Yankees fans isn't gonna hurt that dick's career. :(

I guess you can fault Cashman for not signing Harper or even Machado.

Astros drafted pretty damn well too in 10 years they had Altuve, Corea, Riley, Bregman, Alvarez, Pena and Tucker all come up through their pipeline. That's just the hitters.

Yea and that's where the analytics people come in too. Also the players they sign. Who they think can fit with what they do? Who they think they can fix?

If they are doing that then they need new people.  Gallo, Donaldson and Falefa are not great analytic trades IMO.  Bader seem to work out.

They had to take Donaldson because they wanted IKF.
And it does work for a full season. When they were winning with all those injuries

At the time when I first heard that, I didn't think anything of it, but that's really bad. I guess it hit me how absurd that was when Bernie Williams threw out the first pitch before the game.
