I like any Yankees that produces. He has really never produced. He had the one strong post season in 09. That's it. Even his numbers in the regualr season are inflated. He's the guy that goes 4/6 with 2 HRS and 7RBI's in a blowout but is completely absent in a 4-3 loss. That's a fact.

I have not. I don't listen to much sports talk radio. Talk about irrational. I listen to Francesca here and there and very occasionaly Kay. I would like Mike and Mike to fight to the death.

That is a bit exaggerated. Luckily there is a stat to calculate just that. Definitely not like some others, but until the past couple years, constantly in the top 20 and in 2007 the best in baseball.

Greenberg and Golic. I am not a fan at all. I think Golic is just a bit of a big dofus and don't have too much against him but Greenberg is just a twerp to me.

That would be an interesting fight though. Francesca might fall asleep though, so you gotta give the edge to the other two.

So weird that all 4 of the have the same name.

Greenburgh knows his shit. Golic knows football and has some nice opinions on other sports. Kay knows the Yankees and Francesa knows how to push the right buttons to somehow stay on radio and TV. In a four man battle royale I would put my money on Greeny being able to outsmart all of them somehow.

So almost 30% of his home runs have come late in the game in close situations over his Yankee career. That seems pretty impressive to me, but I could be wrong. I'd like to see how that compares to other players lie Cano and Tex. Even Jeter.

Then on to replace Swisher. I am at a loss on this one. Bourn is going to get too much money and too many years, but would look really nice in that outfield in the short term. Hamilton is not an option. I wonder if they would look at Torii Hunter for a stop gap until the kids are ready. I also really like Choo but wonder if he can stay healthy and wonder what it would take to get him. I doubt they would look at the likes of Victorino or BJ Upton.

As much as it sucks, the Yankees just don't have time to let players sink or swim in the big leagues. Look at Ian Kennedy. I agree, and it would be nice to have him now, but in the AL East being always in the hunt and having that payroll, it is just tough for them to let players work things out in the big leagues, which is needed to develop him.

The 90's Yankees had the opportunity to develop players because they were so bad for so long before that. It would take something like that to have it happen again, I am afraid. It also helped that the boss was kicked out for a while.
