Ha, well I gave up on last night, put on shark week and passed out. Had to be up early to go to a client meeting. Got to listen to this in the car now get to watch the end. Hopefully another walk off.
In ex-Yankees news. Just saw that Phil Hughes is going to have season ending shoulder surgery. On top of already missing 6-8 weeks after getting hit above the knee with a batted ball. So much potential. But so many injuries. Hard to come back from shoulder surgery. And his fastball speed has gone down before that. Hopefully he can have a better 2nd half of his career.
On the radio they were talking about how the guys in the team were calling Beltran, Hall of Famer. Maybe he'll get in at some point. But I don't see it. Especially not first ballot.

I think he's a hall of famer
yea. eventually. I'm just going by the fact he never led the league in hits, hrs, avg, Was never MVP. I know there are players in the Hall who weren't great hitters like Ozzie Smith. And by the time he retires he won't have the sort of automatic in. 3000 hits and 500 hr. I'm thinking some voters might look at him as a compiler. But on his side is he played in the steroid era and so far has played clean.
I said Eovaldi should be in the pen. Let's see if it works out. He could be a 6 and 7 inning guy every couple of days. I think they might have him pitch the rest of the game. Unless we tie or take the lead.
