shocking to see an ESPN article giving girardi props. but a nice article none the less:

    http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_ ... rs-success

and someone at ESPN finally blatantly admitting an anti-NY baseball feeling across the US without taking subtle jabs at jeter, posada and throwing the entire team under the bus?

Holy fuck, this is just about the greatest thing I have ever heard. We all heard that Bedard got served child support papers 3 hours before his start the other day. Well yeah, the guy doing it was a Yankees fan and wore a Yankees t shirt while doing it. AHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAH. That is awesome.

went to the same high school as me. and if you think about it more, it could happen. Leyland's Tigers had Verlander all year in a garbage division. Francona isn't going to get it with this collapse. Maybe Maddon gets it if the Rays pull this off. Earlier, Manny Acta was a legit candidate but the Indians have collapsed, so he's eliminated.

Excellent points. What if Tampa and Boston don't make it and Anaheim gets the Wild Card. Would Socia (however you spell his name) get it?

He should be, even though I don't really care for him as a manager.

Also, did anyone else see how happy Jeter got last night after Posada's hit? I think the only time we see him that excited is when they win the World Series.
