Good job Martin! He was a big pick up. Congrats to Montero on scoring his first major league run.

the DH itself is lame. and is last nights game actually over? i mean the 1st 6 innings only took like 8 fucking hours it seemed like. seriously how do you people watch american league baseball games and still sleep and work for a living. it's awful how long they are.

Normally Yankees/Red Sox games last forever. You NL fans can't handle AL games.

    terribly long last night

andrew jones at bat in the 7th was 15 or 16 pitches alone

Who needs Cliff Lee when we have Ivan Nova, who has a better record than Cliff Lee.

would you rather have a 3.89 era or a 2.59 era?

would you rather have 198 strikeouts or 85 strikeouts?

would you rather have a 1.05 whip or 1.34?

would you rather have opponents batting .229 or .259?

would you rather have 5 complete games or 0 complete games?

would you rather have 5 shutouts or 0 shutouts?

would you rather have 194 innings pitched or 131 innings pitched?

would you rather have a cy young finalist or....ivan nova?

    i would.

how do you think you get 15 wins while allowing 4 earned runs a game? it's because the yankees are 1st in the league in runs scored. a 4.00 era is pretty fucking below average to bad....and would actually be 6th best on the phillies rotation. 6th!

you have fun... in long island

Wouldn't consider a 4.00 ERA to be bad at all, considering he's a rookie.

Even with the Yankees' offense, I'd still say he's having a pretty great first season.

Of course I'd rather have Lee right now, but it's a little ridiculous to compare them. Down the road who knows how good Nova will be. We still have to let him progress.

just pointing out that it's ridiculous to compare him to cliff lee.

guy looks pretty good for a rookie though....of course the phils have rookie who is 10-1 but with a 2.85 era. ;)

    Nice. ;)

Wins are not a reliable stat. Especially when backed up by the best offense in baseball.

Cliff Lee had a game when he pitched 8 innings, gave up 1 run, hit a homer, and still got a no decision.
