    Let's go Yankees!!!!!! Fuck yeah boys! Alcs!
  • I say Yankees in 5, Giants in 7. If this series goes 6, they could only use Cliff Lee once. None of their other pitchers scare me, and even against Lee they have had some success in the last year. (Game 5 WS, 7 IP, 5 earned runs, the comeback from 6-0 this year) You never want to make Game 1 too important, but tonight is a big game. Up 1-0 compared to tomorrow down 1-0 with Cliff Lee on deck is a huge difference.

    A lot of talk on NY radio about Lee's gunky hat, something I noticed last year. 2 big brown blotches, one on the brim, one on the back. Not calling the guy a cheater, but why are those spots there ( on a brand new hat), and why does he touch them so much, especially when throwing a breaking ball?
  • PS, I did the math. I'll turn 36 Tuesday, tonight will be the Yankees 65th ALCS Yankee game of my lifetime

Can't hurt to have him change his cap though or at least have the umps take a look.

    I am also a big fan of this matchup for the Yanks. I don't want to be too confident because we have seen lefties give the Yankees fits but I think the Yanks are better than the Rangers by quite a bit especially with a hobbled Hamilton.

    I have one suggestion to you on that - keep dreaming, they won't do that.

    Of course I said that before the Yankees said, I still don't see it happening unless it's an emergency.

    E-5. It's an ERR-Rod! :lol::lol::lol:

    Seriously, the Phillies pull this crap all the time - beat up the starter and knock him out, then get shut down by the dregs of the bullpen. 5 runs is a very surmountable deficit for NYY.

    I heard Kay bring it up, plus a lot of callers to Francesa, who not surprisingly dismissed it. i agree if it were cheating he would not be that blatant about it, and other teams would call him out on it, unless they have a guy doing the same thing. or worse. More than anything, i'm curious about it. is it allowed? Why is it there (seems obvious, but still) why does he touch it so often if it doesn't do anything?
