    how have we looked after dropping the first two games of a series?

    the only two i can think of winning in the past 15 years... '96 WS, '01 ALDS.


    saturday's game is going to be rowdy. will be par-taking in a pub crawl in manhattan.

    I think the more eye opening stat I saw is that the Yanks have never won a World Series as the wild card.(I believe it's only happened twice before, so it's not a huge history, but still it shows the road is much harder as the wild card.)

    The reason they never won the World Series as a wild card comes down to pitching, the 2007 pitching staff might have been the worst pitching staff they had when you consider all there was Andy Pettitte followed by a broken down Mike Mussina and Roger Clemens.

    Plus for as much as guys say they don't pay attention to the papers, the fact that nobody is projecting him to do well also has to be somewhat motivating.
