I'm assuming you've seen the whole video? Their chemistry at the beginning is incredible...two amazing individuals. That video is a piece of history.

Its Lucy's first Christmas with us- She has carefully removed a couple choice ornaments when no one was looking  and taken them to her hiding places. I have retrieved them and put them back on the tree- I guess we will be playing this game for a few weeks. She's a funny dog- has 2 areas in the yard that we call Lucy's lair where she collects whatever she can carry even a stepping stone! She likes her things alright :D

ok we tried a new pretty Christmas cocktail last evening if you are so inclined...
Red stag (which is blackberry Jim Beam- I don't usually drink hard liquor but I think I got that right)
    and cranberry juice.
It was a little sweet but very pretty by Christmas twinkle lights and a
    very tasty treat indeed

While I enjoy having time off work, and spending time with family and friends. I dread the forced gift giving more and more each year.

we decided to skip presents last year- and what a joy the day was- almost no stress.
This year- we will do the same and just give to the Munchkin as its her first.
The in-laws don't really get along so we are doing the round-robin traveling to the Grandparents, as because its her first. So not looking forward to the traffic

nice, i'm working christmas eve, but it's irrelevant to me since I'm Jewish. When i worked at the sports wire service, I liked working Christmas Day because it meant I had the following day off which is a day when both the NBA and NHL usually played a big slate of games.

  • WOW pandora - gorgeous!
(any why oh why didn't you post your tree in the 'oh christmas tree' thread? :( ;):D
    beautiful job!

xavier - even if christmas was on a saturday, we'd still get a 3 day weekend. most businesses plan on 1-2 days off for the holiday regardless. also why i think next year, for 2 years in a row, we'll more than likely get the week off. we always get christmas, day after and new years day off - so 3 holidays. so even if on a weekend, they'd give us the days, or make em floating holidays. however, i think we'll simply have another firm shutdown. gave us the extra days this year, think they'll do the same next. whatever. i am definitely enjoying the extra time off this year! 5 more days of work than i don't come back until the 5th! 8-)

    i'm so spoiled...
we always spend the holidays with my family, and sure...for years we dealt with traffic, going to my sister's in jersey to see her/her kids, for many years now we stay local, drive the 4 miles to my other sister's house, have an all adult holiday. i love it. not a lot of shopping, next to no holiday traveling, it's all just fun, fun, fun.....family and friends...good food and drink.......love it!

hope everyone thoroughly enjoys their holidays however they spend them!
