David Bowie Bing Crosby duet of drummer boy is simply awesome- so pretty
I'm assuming you've seen the whole video? Their chemistry at the beginning is incredible...two amazing individuals. That video is a piece of history.
Yes just watched it again seeing if i could post it- can't figure how to do that my dumb- its been years since I've seen it. It was a strange pairing but really works I love it and you are so right two amazing people.
Its Lucy's first Christmas with us- She has carefully removed a couple choice ornaments when no one was looking and taken them to her hiding places. I have retrieved them and put them back on the tree- I guess we will be playing this game for a few weeks. She's a funny dog- has 2 areas in the yard that we call Lucy's lair where she collects whatever she can carry even a stepping stone! She likes her things alright
I'm having a festivus party on the 23rd. Getting all my close friends together and hopefully just having a really good time. Then family the next two days!
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
ok we tried a new pretty Christmas cocktail last evening if you are so inclined...
Red stag (which is blackberry Jim Beam- I don't usually drink hard liquor but I think I got that right)
and cranberry juice.
It was a little sweet but very pretty by Christmas twinkle lights and a
very tasty treat indeed
While I enjoy having time off work, and spending time with family and friends. I dread the forced gift giving more and more each year.
My thoughts too. Overall, like always I am looking forward to the memories I'll make with friends and family...

This year- we will do the same and just give to the Munchkin as its her first.
The in-laws don't really get along so we are doing the round-robin traveling to the Grandparents, as because its her first. So not looking forward to the traffic
I'm glad it's not a Saturday. Otherwise you lose the three-day weekend.

I was shocked....

When the owner informed us that we will be closed on Christmas Eve.....
I havent had Christmas Eve off in a long long time....
4 day weekend!!!!
WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice, i'm working christmas eve, but it's irrelevant to me since I'm Jewish. When i worked at the sports wire service, I liked working Christmas Day because it meant I had the following day off which is a day when both the NBA and NHL usually played a big slate of games.

Hubby surprised me with a new decoration this year, Baby Jesus has leaves for a blanket how realistic is that!
Back deck is a peaceful place where you can find PJ playing Christmas style with Rudolph keeping watch

Merry Christmas to all and to all enjoy your holidays!
WOW pandora - gorgeous!
(any why oh why didn't you post your tree in the 'oh christmas tree' thread? :(
beautiful job!
xavier - even if christmas was on a saturday, we'd still get a 3 day weekend. most businesses plan on 1-2 days off for the holiday regardless. also why i think next year, for 2 years in a row, we'll more than likely get the week off. we always get christmas, day after and new years day off - so 3 holidays. so even if on a weekend, they'd give us the days, or make em floating holidays. however, i think we'll simply have another firm shutdown. gave us the extra days this year, think they'll do the same next. whatever. i am definitely enjoying the extra time off this year! 5 more days of work than i don't come back until the 5th!
