i bought a pack of christmas cards over the weekend.
and hey, by next friday full-out christmas spirit will be ON!
hubby and i will be on our staycation, and that whole first week of december will be ALL about getting set up for th holidays...gifts...wrapping....christmas tree! we will be all decked out and ready to GO!
the feast of saint nicholas is 19 days away (december 6th), it is before christmas. a lot of italians, in particular, celebrate that feast day.
St. Nicholas Day- Dec 6th- We celebrate - helps the little ones make it to Christmas- not so little anymore and we still celebrate

I'm a little embarrassed to say I bought mine last January, wrapping paper as well. I like to be prepared!

my gift wrap, ribbon and tags....all bought like that.
christmas cards i am just VERY particular, and none were left that i loved. i used to always/only get william wegman cards, was like a *given*.....but don't really stick with that anymore. i also used to send out over 100 cards, now i send out maybe 10. obviously, i have cut back.

i don't play christmas music until december tho, and basically, at home, that's all we listen to the entire month. i have a LOT of christmas CDs, and now that i finally know how to shuffle music by genre on the ipod - aqnd we have a dock for our stereo system, even easier to mix it all up and blast in loud in the LR! LOVE to have the christmas tunes rockin'...most especially the day i decorate the house and tree....then turn out all the lights excpet on the christmas tree....light a ton of candles...fire in the fireplace...glass of wine in hand....yeeeaaaa......CHRISTMAS SPIRIT in abundance then!
