I say screw Riot Act and Avacado and just go for the first 6 albums and Backspacer. It is very doable...

    Indifference
    Last Exit
    Spin The Black Circle
    Satan's Bed
    Sometimes
    Who You Are
    Smile
    Red Mosquito
    I'm Open
    Around The Bend
    Brain Of J.
    Pilate
    Low Light
    Breakerfall
    Gods' Dice
    Thin Air
    Insignificance
    Of The Girl
    Sleight Of Hand
    Soon Forget
    Amongst The Waves

26 songs... with room for some Backspacer repeats and Alive, etc.

    I counted 101, but I get confused after 100

most bands dont even do 25 songs per night and that is the SAME set list.

PJ averaged 25 different songs per night

    WOW!!!
  • Im very happy with the how many songs they got through :D
I wonder why they didnt get through many of the openers though.

No cant keep, release, of the girl, long road, sometimes.
Also it would have been cool if they could have got brain of J, sad and LBC in there somewhere.

will make a great set of bootlegs.
    ...The Moon is Rollin' Round....
  • Can't wait for the boots. I'm in awe just looking at these setlits. This band loves us.

    WOW!

Cant believe all the songs we got. Couldnt quite do it, but what an accomplishment playing all they did. And as tight as they were.

Its so insane how lucky we are that our favorite band puts this much effort into this shit. They could come in, collect the money and play the same shit. but they dont. they make the tickets worth every penny. its amazing the effort they must put into this
  • This is just unreal ... I went through the list and counted 105 unique songs played over the 4 nights!!
(I included "Little Wing" and the "Star Spangled Banner," each of which were covered by Mike during his "Yellow Ledbetter" solos.)

    totally blown away.
Rise. Life is in motion. I'm stuck in line.
Oh rise. You can't be neutral on a moving train.

Of coursse they could have done it... they just didn't want to alienate 3/4 of the crowd maybe?

On the B-side of the Not For You single is a killer song called

    Out of My Mind

I would die to hear that song live.

    what a call!

  • i think you have to include Bugs in your list.... just saying.

    how about that?

  • Wow. The list of songs that DIDN'T play is rather disappointing. Surely they could have done away with some of the repeats. :?

Well, the Backspacer repeats are justified since they are promoting the album.
The Ten and "Hits" repeats last night, while heavy, are also understandable... you have to play to the WHOLE crowd.

But yeah... we really didn't need 3 Evolutions, 2 Whippings, 2 Rearviewmirrors... they should have been traded in for some of the big missing items like Sad, Comatose, Oceans, Brain of J and Breakerfall.

But that's nitpicking... these are still momentous, legendary shows.

First thanks to Soop and the Relayers for their amazing play by play posts.

I was curious and added some numbers
    - total number of songs played during the 4 Philly shows (including repeats) - 131
    - average of songs played per Philly show - 32.75
    - number of different songs played at the Philly shows - 101
    - number of songs played from studio albums (not including Merkinball, Miscellaneous, Lost Dogs, recent common covers) - 83 out of 110
    - number of songs played from studio albums and Lost Dogs – 91 out of 133

The numbers are even more impressive if you had the following 28 songs not played in Philly but played at least once during this tour (since August 8, 2009)
    - Brain of J
    - Red Mosquito
    - Long road
    - Jazz Odyssey
    - Kick out the Jams
    - Sometimes
    - Comatose
    - Hunger strike
    - Interstellar overdrive
    - Mountain song
    - I believe in miracles
    - Big wave
    - Breakerfall
    - Of the Girl
    - So you want to be a rock and roll star
    - Driven to tears
    - Trow your hatered down
    - Hard to imagine
    - Fuckin’ up
    - Come Back
    - The needle and the damage done
    - Leaving here
    - Sleight of hand
    - Brother
    - Angie
    - You got to hide you love away
    - Soldier of love
    - Sad

Total number of different songs played during this tour - 129.

This is why they are the best band in the world and why I love those guys so much. Such amazing talents!

    :D :P
