Anyone else think they'll close night 4 with Alive?
No, they will close night 4 with Bugs!
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
If this is true, it means there's lots of No Code and Lost Dogs to come during the 2 upcoming nights...
Yes..BINAURAL too

I dunno... I'm starting to lose faith... There are just too many unrehearsed rarities to be played in just two nights:
Help Help
Can't Keep
Get Right
Cropduster
All Or None
Oceans
Habit
Pilate
Thin Air
plus all the other semi-rare stuff like Of The Girl, Love Boat Captain, Light Years, Smile, Tremor Christ, etc
I just dunno.
They've played Of The Girl, Light Years, Smile and Tremor Christ this year already, Can't Keep, Cropduster, Oceans, Thin Air, Love Boat Captain and were played last year and All Or None in 07 so there's not much on your list that is actually that rare. They must have planned this when they booked the shows, it's way too big a thing to try to do on the spur of the moment

After 2 down and 2 to go. I like where things stand. Casual fans can still catch some greatest hits. And hard core fans can cross fingers for some real gems. No Way, push me pull me were great. So much left to play what a night this could be in store for friday and saturday.
All the people complaining, stop it. we got it smeared in our faces with Boston 03 and yes we have suffered Gorge envy quite a few times.
I can't really see any songs left that I'd "rather not see"...if this rumor of playing everything from their albums is true, these next two nights are going to be fantastic. I cant wait to finish work tonight and head down to Philly. Road trip with my Dad...it's going to be a blast.
Hopefully this 4 night stand is released as a box set a la Gorge 05/06...that would look nice on my shelf.
Thank you for keeping track. I can double check my spreadsheets. The first two nights have been epic. People are saying that the crowd sucked on Tuesday, I disagree. They were two diffrent kind of shows. Tuesday it felt like a small club show with the backdrop. Last night seemed like a normal staudium show. I think night one was better. The setlist was better and the band was more into it.

agreed...RITFW was epic and cordoruy was amazing to open the show with...didnt see that coming (animal was a great surprise last night too)

I am still pretty skeptical that they will play the rest of Riot Act (or Lost Dogs for that matter ... Make me eat my words, guys!), although no one can complain about these setlists even if they don't. Who would have thought that all of Yield except Pilate would show up this tour? Yield has long had a few redheaded stepchild songs on it (No Way, Push Me Pull Me), and lo and behold these get played. Pretty fucking awesome, and if the guys ever read this thread:
THANK YOU!!!!! I know its just live music and all, but doing things like this really makes some of us pretty happy.
To reiterate so many people's comments, this setlist thread of keeping track is great... still wish I was in Philly... actually looked at plane tickets to go up for Friday and Saturday there yesterday, but the airlines want to gouge me (cheapest flight return from Houston is 550 plus taxes, and that is with 2 stops each way), so I can't do it....
However, in spirt of this thread something strikes me as odd:
With Pearl Jam having so many songs they traditionally play as openers (i.e. LBC, Of the Girl, Release, Sometimes, Long Road, Hard to Imagine, .... and the list goes on), why are they opening the show with tunes that they usually play as second or third songs??? I mean Corduroy and Animal are bangers, great tunes, but opening with them is very out of the ordinary.... Any one else been thinking this??
Are they going to do a set one night of just openers?
Personally, I am waiting for when Unthought Known becomes one of their regular openers... that song is absolutely perfect for it....
shep
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

ive been thinking about this as well...however if the rumors are true re them playing til 2 am, heck even if they play til 1am, or 1230...they can play an acoustic set with all of these openers...similar to mass 03 and gorge 05...just a thought... and they will eventually have to play "parting ways" with the string quartet...they'd be crazy to forgo that opp.
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...
Great thread here... I'll be anxiously awaiting to view the updated stats to see if they can pull off the "every song" four night stint. Would be incredible to be there, enjoy it folks!
Don't believe everything Ed says on stage..Your just setting yourself up for a disappointment...I find it highly unlikely they play to 2am Saturday..If they do?..They would probably start at midnight...
But, I could be wrong...But I can't see pearl jam starting at regular time 9pm and play to 2am...That is five hour show..Highly unlikely...
I can not wait til the next 2 nights!!!!!!! Just looking at your list (good job keeping track) there are so many songs i still want to hear!

Me too! I just hope they don't play all the ones I want tomorrow!

i wouldn't count on all of lost dogs being played at all. def. some track will be included but if they really do play til 2 on sat. they have the amount of time to make it happen..either way these shows are getting people pumped up who are just reading about it and that's awesome in my book.
My guess is they'll clear out a lot of No Code and Binaural tonight at Spectrum 3 (though I hope they save Present Tense for Halloween). For Spectrum 4, Hard to Imagine, Last Exit or Long Road all make sense as openers and I'd expect an epic Baba O'Riley to finish things off ...
Rise. Life is in motion. I'm stuck in line.
Oh rise. You can't be neutral on a moving train.
I love this kind of statistical excercise. Like many of you I keep a list of every song I've seen live and how many times. So I used the list in the first post to deduce what I have yet to see. I've been to 16 shows. So..............which of these should I have seen based on that many shows? Just wondering what I had high odds to see and haven't yet....

oh, and PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE repeat Unthought Known & Johnny Guitar...my 2 faves on Backspacer!

No way ... They don't play shows like this all that often, and its pretty sweet to hear them dust off these songs.
That's what I was thinking...2 am, turn clocks back to 1 am, play for another hour!!! Woo hoo!
