you got that right“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” Abraham Lincoln0 -

That being Obama being the enemy and based on his name alone Implies you're speaking of African Americans. You aware they're whites with Muslin/Arabic names, right.
Your statment made this an race issue and now you're being called on such statement.
Yes I am aware that it is not just Blacks that have that name......A Muslim name....which is my point....

Ramadan, the way its been explained to me, actually seems like a pretty decent thing. You fast so you understand what it's like to be poor and hungry, and be thankful for what you have. Sounds like a decent holiday to me. I'm not Christian, but I celebrate Christmas. I'm not Serbian-Orthodox, but I celebrate one of their holidays with my best friend because it means a lot to his family that I'm there.
I'd rather the president be an Atheist, and not be stirred by illogical fairy-tales. However, as long as the religion is kept out of policies, I don't care if they worship the flying spaghetti monster.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

you got that right
"bush is history so does not apply" did you really just say that?? do you think that his presidency might have something to do with the situation we are in right now?? how can you dismiss what he has done.
the traditional day of prayer is a silly and outdated concept. if people have a relationship with their god should they not pray every day adn leave the rest of us out of it??"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."0 -
Is it possible for Obama to actually get a bad picture of him taken? He has got to be the most singularly attractive president I have seen in my entire life. Pictures of him just make you happy to be alive. Pictures of him might just put the antidepressant industry out of business.
Secondly, I have never been happy with his let's pursue the Afghanistan war thing, although I think it makes a lot more sense than invading New Guinea. I mean, Iraq. Either country capable of launching a nuclear attack against us within 45 minutes and neither country having a thing to do with al Qaeda at the time. But whatever. We all want to be The Savior. Although I myself would rather not sprout a beard.
Thirdly, I think Obama is doing a dandy job. Yes, Afghanistan is misguided. But at least you can connect some dots there. Still, it's not enough dots to render a stunning likeness of Mr. January, so...best left unsolved, as they say. Obama's done more in his first 30 days in office than Bush did in his last 4 years. And Obama's got a lot of irons in the fire, waiting to heat up just right. I am more impressed with him than I ever dreamed I'd be. I like the direction we're headed under his leadership.
I also liked the Bizarro comic strip today, with the year's scariest things, including Michael Jackson's doctor and people who are afraid of affordable health care.
Also, I like Obama's Secretary of State. A lot. Another good choice. So, all in all, very few complaints and lots to like. We could have done a lot worse. We could have gone with a guy that literally rolled the dice in his Veep pick and could have ended up with Bozo the Clown in stilettos a heartbeat away from the presidency. It's a day late for a good Halloween scare, but the thought does a good job none the less.

kind of interesting how we've (Pearl Jam fans) gone from the sensitive equal rights pro-choice folks who listened to Ten on our walkmen back in High School to the politically self-righteous misogynist a-holes that think it's funny to take a picture of two d-bags giving beer to a cardboard cutout of one of the most accomplished women in US History (and the wife of our hero from back in the day when we were listening to Ten on our walkmen)...
didn't those songs about mistreated women from their early albums stick with you?
didn't we just kind of put up with all those jocks who listened to Pearl Jam (and Nirvana and Soundgarden and Alice in Chains) because they were getting a good message out and kicking misogynist rock in the b-a-l-l-s?
it's not about what others think - it's about treating them with respect regardless.0 -

this is what you need to digest in all of this ... aerial represents a large portion of the american population - her intolerance and ignorance towards muslims is founded on fear - something the powers that be use all the time ...
it's all part of a larger issue related to education and the prosperity divisions0 -

All I can say is there's a line from an old James Brown song *Talkin' Loud and Sayin' Nothing* I think it goes sometihg like this.
Like a dull knife just ain't cuttin'
You're just talkin' a loud and sayin' nothing
Just sayin' nothing, just sayin' nothing
To all 3 of her points so fucking what,....what does that have to do with his name and him becoming the enemy. Whether you like it or not he's my President and your President whether you voted for or not....I didn't he's going to be YOUR President for the next 3+ years.
If Joe Biden was President had the exact same policies would you have a problem with his name and call him the enemy too?
Just today some Congresswoman Virginia Foxx said,...."I believe that the greatest fear that we all should have ... to our freedom comes from this room, this very room, and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill," she said. "I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country."
Republican congresswoman says Democratic health overhaul plans scarier than any terrorist
When is this talking ((((LOUD)))) and saying nothing going to stop?

yeah, we could be spending that money making sure our citizens get health care... oh wait, that'd be socialist. we can't spend our money on americans, everything we try to do to benefit americans you scream about socialism. when he gives foreign aid, he's a muslim; when he spends money at home, he's socialist. why dont you just get over it and accept the fact that you and your ilk have fallen out of favor in this country. we will not be hampered by the ignorant and bigoted or ruled by their fears anymore. you're never going to get your glenn beck approved candidate here becos his views are out of touch with the rest of america. it took a long time, but thank god, we made it. now you're just whining becos the tables have turned on you and your party.0 -
The documentary is pretty funny especially to see the filming behind the scenes.

on the one hand, I was gonna say I'm not as confident about soulsinging's assertion as he is, but on the other hand, what do last night's elections really prove? moderate Republicans won governorships in NJ and VA, which is something that happens quite commonly even in liberal New England states. and the Conservative Party candidate in upstate NY who was supported by lunatics such as Sarah Palin fell to defeat after the moderate Republican dropped out and endorsed the Democrat.
and i also feel the need to call you out for saying Barack Obama's name alone proves he's "the enemy". it's not even a Muslim name even when you include his middle name Hussein, and it wouldn't matter if it was Muslim in origin... it's just a name and Muslims as a group are not our enemy! Barack and Hussein are common arabic names predating Islam and Obama is of Kenyan origin. maybe you have a problem with the word "algebra" too? maybe you have a problem with other names of semitic origin like "Michael" and "Rachel"? yes, he bowed to the Saudi King... I'm pretty sure every President since FDR has done that. and unless we all stop driving cars or figure out a way to fuel our transportation needs ourselves, our Presidents will continue to do that. not that I support it... but it has nothing to do with Islam. the Saudi regime is just vile.0 -

exactly what i was thinking. a few moderate republicans won governorships in states that often go republican and were even a surprise to find in the obama camp in the first place. hardly a sign of some ground swell of support for the lunatic right that aerial and Glenn Beck want to believe is out there.0
