I gotta feeling Bruce will be there.

Last night was the 33rd anniversary of his first arena show he headlined which was at the Spectrum.

And I saw about 6 sealed boxes labeled as such:

at one of the closed merch booths during the Open House at the Spectrum on Saturday.

Band won't even play past midnight. Bruce will show up for a song or 3 during the 2nd encore.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • Wow. While I find that difficult to believe, it would be pretty awesome. Would have almost a Last Waltz feel to it if they did something like that.

No offense, and I want to believe you, but...I am ALWAYS leary of someone who sites a source from a co-worker of mine's father knows a guy who...

I'll apologize if I am wrong, which is posible, but I just can't believe this...

I heard since it is Halloween Jim Morrison is rising from the dead to play a few Doors tunes and Jimmy Hendrix will be playing the solo during Alive with Mike.

  • Fuck Billy Joel.

It'd be nice if Neil made the trek from out west to help close the place down. After all, the cover of Time Fades Away was shot at the Spectrum.

there are some people buying in to crap like this that are in for a huge disappointment.

That's a shame, because a Pearl Jam show should never be a disappointment ... but when you put such lofty expectations on it ... yikes.

    i agree.

i have no expectations beyond my normal expectations of a great live show.
anything else will just be icing.

would love it if Bruce did show up, and even Billy Joel, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

either way, PJ will put on a great show, even if they put on the normal PJ 2 to 2.5 hour show. its going to be great !
    Peace, Love.

well, remember, Saturday night is the night we change the clocks, so normally bars stay open that extra hour, etc.

I haven't really understood the whole argument surrounding the clocks turning back. I don't that even takes place until like 2 am anyway. I don't think that will have much of an effect.

The hardest part may be working out a deal paying all the security and other workers to stay that late. I know they have blown curfew many times, and as much as i would like a 4 hour show, I can't see it happening. They may play a little past midnight, but I think that would be it. I will be very happy with a 2 1/2 hour set- anything more than that is a bonus.

first post reminds me of this old joke dom irerra does. he's got this uncle sal who like believes half of anything. one time they were talking about this guy who claimed he was Jesus Christ and uncle sal says "even if he's lyin', he's John the Baptist"....

  • Maybe that means that they have the stage up until 3am, not that they'll be playing until 3am. I don't expect to see any guests but I guess it isn't impossible. I'm just hoping for a long show.
The longest Pearl Jam show ever would be very nice.

Correct me if I am wrong, but hadn't Ed openly dissed Dave Matthews on numerous occasions during shows? I highly doubt that we'll see DM perform with PJ any time soon...

I'm not a Dave Matthews fan, but I don't think there is any bad blood between him and Pearl Jam.

Also, I may be in the minority, but Billy Joel would be awesome.
