We should start a PJ related chant at the Flyers game.

Forget the Flyers game, that chant should take place at the World Series game! :D
  • they made this big hoopla last year like i said about the game 4/who concert/eagles game. people who want to go to the phillies games will go to the linc/citizen's bank park parking lot. people going to the flyers with go to the wach and people going to pearl jam will go to the spectrum parking lot. people who are smart and if the circumstances are correct will park at fdr for free. there's ample parking, it's going to be game 3 so it's not like people are going to be wanting to celebrate a world series victory at the stadiums.

Believe me... it's going to be a mess down there.

    1) It's game 3 of the Phillies/Yankees world series
    2) Pearl Jam is closing out the Specturm
    3) The Flyers are playing at Waovia center (home game)
    4) It's Halloween
    5) It's a Saturday....

  • coming from someone who works events down there weekly, i can say RELAX! you wont need to get there at the buttcrack of dawn to get parking. your best bet is taking the subway. if thats not an option, there is plenty of parking between the wachovia lots, jetro lots, cbp lots (all sides), and fdr park. All of those lots will have the capacity to handle the traffic. The linc holds 68,532. Citizens Bank Park holds 43,647, the Spectrum holds 18,169 totaling for 61,816 so it shouldnt be that much of a problem even with the Flyers playing @1

I went to the Who Concert the day of Game 4 of the World Series and drove up to the lot at 7 and got a spot in like 10 minutes.

Drank a few beers in my car and got in the venue for the last part of the Opening Act.

Getting there at 1 is a little ridiculous.

Hahaha... well, I'm fucked. I'm not leaving central Virginia until 1pm.

Mapquest says 4.5 hours. I was figuring 5.5 hours (though a Saturday has less traffic)... so that gets me to the line for the parking lot at 6:30pm. PJ hits stage around 8:30 or 9:00?

Is there dependable public transportation from Renaissance Airport Hotel?

can you imagine the traffic AFTER the Pj show and game?? they will probabaly let out at the same time...we should be thankfull there is no way the phillies can clinch a championship that night (it's only game 3)

The baseball game will still be going on after the concert unless PJ tries and plays longer than Bruce did. His last show he got off the stage at 11:45. I've only ever been to one PJ show like that out of 48 and that was State College. So unless PJ plays past midnight, the game will still be going on by the time the show ends.

it is literally a 10 minute drive from the airports, I would leave between 1:30 and 3 while the flyers are playing or wait until after 5 if you want to miss traffic

what lots can you not tailgate in? i know of 1 near the Linc across the street from CBP that i always go to that allows tailgating (maybe lot M?) but i would prefer to park a little closer to the spectrum out of convenience afterwards and the fact that i want to tailgate with the pearl jam crowd and definitely not the baseball crowd. can you tailgate in the spectrum lot? also will that lot be filled for the hockey game if we're trying to get there pretty early?

When I called them last week they said they only sell it when they sell tickets, maybe when they sell premium tickets or something. They said they don't sell them by themselves, even if you already have tickets for an event. :(

Im thinking if I hop on a train at 6:00.....I would still not have any problems.....right???

The baseball traffic will already be at the game....right???

Now leaving the show??? That might be a whole different ballgame....

    Yes you'll be fine...

All the Flyers fans will have left the area by 4 or 5PM, so that eliminated most of them. Then there will be the usual tailgaters for the concert and Phils game. Yes a big crowd, yes traffic, but shouldn't be any crazier than most Sundays down at the sports complexes.

This Flyers fan will be at the complex with all of his friends from the time the puck drops till the last notes of Ledbetter! Bring on the Chaos!!
