Hey, I know there are many people coming from all over the place to Philly for many days. I am in the midst of putting together a list of Bars, Restaurants, and other things to see/do while in Philly. I know 4 or 5 days is a pretty long time, and this is some stuff to help keep you busy. I am sure there are other places not listed, but this is a good, diverse list.

Basic info-
Bars are all non-smoking, and open until 2 am.
Genos and Pats Cheesesteaks are open 24 hours.
South Street and Old City are 2 hot areas in the City. South Street is a cool place to take a walk from 2nd St up to about 8th and all of the side streets at each block have stores as well.

This site will give you an idea on Cab expenses around the City.

VERY specific list of places and their locations-

You may need an account (free, 2 minutes to set up) on Google to view this.
Any questions, drop me a PM.

Check out the link I posted, there is all kinds of stuff to do and eat. I will inquire with my Greek friends about food in Philly. THEY would know.

Would it be too much to ask to have hotels put on there too?
    Like the Radisson?

Another idea is to visit any of our Philly Wishlist pre party sponsors and let them know PJ fans are in full force!
Some are McFadden's Ballpark(http://www.mcfaddensballpark.com/), Paddy Whack's(http://www.paddywhackspub.com/index.php), and The Fieldhouse(http://www.fieldhousephilly.com/). Of course if you win a gift card to these places during our raffle drawings, you can visit and get your drink on for free!

Nerd alert: We are going to the Mutter Museum (a medical anomalies museum at the Physician's College) on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Figured it was an appropriate place to go on Halloween.

VERY Good spot. I will add it to the map. I LOVE Beer, but Belgians are not my speed and I haven't been to Monks in a long time because of it...

Hah, I've actually been before (about 8 years ago) and remember it being really small, but my husband insists. They are also having some Day of the Dead thing, so we'll see.

Glad you have Reading Terminal Market on there - I've been there a couple of times - its an interesting (in a good way) place. Its like a food court/grocery from the early 1900's. There's tons of different types of food - Indian, Thai I think, Barbeque, and way more - something for everyone. You can eat there, you can buy fruits and vegetables, candy, fish... I think we'll go this time too.

  • Old city is great, just moved there in august. cool art gallerys everwhere, great food and bars.

check out Elfred's Alley, the oldest residential st in the US, its free and quick.

these bars are worth a stop.

race st cafe (208 race st) good food and beers but small tvs if you wanna watch a game

CHARLIES (on 3rd near arch) awesome bar to watch a game, good food.

"PAddys" on race, total dive, very smoky, inspiration for the bar from always sunny in philly.

    enjoy the city, go phils!
