Next time I think I will go with ticketmaster. I had better tickets in 2000 at San Diego Sports Arena in my only 2nd year of the membership. Great show but I ended up in the 34th row on the floor. Membership # 185xxx. Please take care of the people that live in the actual city the concert is being played in the future. 34th row?????? Totally bummed right now. I'm 6'3 and I could barely see.

    LMFAO

    +1

if ya don't like the service than don't renew. no one is forcing a gun to your head saying be in the 10c. the 10c can put me in the nosebleeds behind the stage in philly and i wouldn't care or whine like a fucking crybaby.

maybe alota people made bought tickets for SD this time than back in 00

can people stop asking for the 10c to cater towards hometown fan. it's a stupid idea and would create a clutserfack. what would happen for in NYC show. would Manhattan fans be hometown fans or would all of the tri state area be hometown fans

its a fucking ashame I'm even in the same club as alota you elitists assholes are. the entitlement around is unreal these days. makes me long for the old board.

  • my number is 402 and i was stoked with my tickets in Seattle, and they were a lot worse then that.

90% of the people from the old board are here. There was plenty of entitlement on the old board too. Just sayin'

i doubt 90% from the old board are here, but whatever. yes i know the old board had it too. but i'm seeing alota random people just bashing the 10c in regards to where they sit at a concert. people should be thankful they play america every year or so. try living in asia or south america or sweden and not seeing the band for years on end and getting your live fix through pj bootlegs or pj cover/tribute bands. would people like for the band to be like bruce springsteen or any other artists that doesn't have a fanclub. nothing is perfect in life, deal with it people. my 10c number will always get me shitty seats and i will never ever complain. i am just so thankful to even be in the building.

Classy! You must still be bitter about USC beating you in your own house with a true freshmen qb. On another note thanks for your nice comment. I bet it took you awhile to come up with something so witty.
  • Fanclubs run by some other bands allow you to purchase tickets on pre-sale and do not make you wait until the day of the show to find out what your seats are. I suspect that the person who started this thread is asking for a higher level of customer service. That's a valid point. After all, we do live in a consumerist, post-capitalist society and it is only normal to compare across competitive brands and products, right? Instead of cursing our fellow board members, I humbly recommend that we continue such discussions in a congenial manner.

A good part of the reason why you cant get these seats until the day of the show and not know where your seats are is to thwart scalping.

There are ways to prevent scalping using online ticket reservations and yet allow fanclub members to get tickets for shows without having to lineup on the day of the event. I suspect that it has more to do with the cost of doing so for Tenclub, but I can only speculate.

'tis a shame that you had an opportunity to see the best band in the world play a fantastic set and you take time to comment on 10C tickets.

    But that's just me :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

I really agree that its to curb scalping. It's also impossible to have any immediate system to give ticket info if you base on seniority/lottery and not 'first purchase, first tickets.'

Yeah - it would be great to know in advance, but once you buy the tickets is there really much you can do?

I think you all would be a little frustrated too. Each tour your tickets get a little better. Last tour in 2006 I had seats in Vegas and San Diego in basically the same location. On Mike's side on the side of the stage row 1 with just the rail in front. 2006 San Diego we even were in the same section as some of the bands family. So to end up way back in the 34th row is just a bit shocking after the last few tours. I knew when I posted this I would be getting bashed. It's all good because you all are entiled to your opinions and even your grade school name calling. A shout out to the best one of "you fat donkey" by 81. I am sorry your mother did not hug you as a baby. Stay classy 81!

When I saw Pearl Jam in Chicago, I was above and behind the 34th row up in the balcony. I had a great time because I know I am seeing a great show and I am thankful to be in the building. Tell you what, next time PJ plays San Diego, we'll switch tickets. I guarantee you'll see the stage albeit a little further back and higher up. I would be stoked to be on the floor.

As you all know (If your peruse this board a bit) I would sooner pass for a PJ apologist, or a sheep, than a hater, although I'm none of those things. I love to try and take a step back about and think about issues where people have a problem and bash the club, and I try to chime in with a thought out response taking in all angles.

Ten Club isn't perfect, they fuck up a bit, but they are ALWAYS, trying to make the next one 'better'. Always coming up with ideas to address legitimate problems that arrive, and subtle and drastic changes have been made over the last 15 years to improve our Fan club experience.

It is impossible to know what exactly goes into assigning seats at each show. For the most part I think they try to tier it so that the floor is utilized then the wings, then the floor again, then the wings again.

Last night I would guess that they issued the entire floor first. I have no sample size other than I also sat in the waaaay back on the floor, HHH Row B, while someone I met with a 200,XXX number was on the wings. (I'm also 184,XXX).

I'm not complaining, I had a great time, but for the 2nd encore I watched the show from behind the stage and those seats that couldn't even sell were better than mine, IMO.

So in conclusion, love the Ten Club, not upset , just wanted to help point out that the best system for distributing tickets might not have been utilized for this show..... or perhaps it was and they just had 2/3 of the arena or something.

P.S. thanks for the 6th row Orch seats for LA 4! :D:D:D

Best post on here yet. It totally makes sense how they did the tickets. You are right about the tickets behind the stage. Some of the best seats in the house last night. You were back there with me in HHH. I was row 3. I just wish we would of been in the wings somewhere. Part of the reason my wife is only 5'2. Thanks for your well written post. I still love the 10club too.

It still remains an assumption, q. There is no way for you to verify the veracity of your claims (of political alliances), which, as you point out are not directed at the Original Poster. Statements (simple or otherwise) are usually backed by fact.

What seats have you gotten at other shows?? Using your ten c number i mean.. That does seem a little off to me... 185xxx getting 34 rows back?.. and i hear all the "be happy to be in the building" people but.. You obviously paid your yearly membership for a reason other than the random newsletters.I mean if this was obviously a shock to you, and you've had better seats before.. why would you not be confused? This seems to be happening to more and more people with lower and lower numbers.I mean if your number got you that far back.. i'd be suprised if my number would even get me a spot in the parking lot  i say that playfully but i'm almost thinking that i'm not far off with that notion. Is it possible the random rows are switching up seniority seating in a big way or something?? I've only noticed being knocked back a couple of rows at worst so far.. which yeah it sucks to think about but was well worth seeing my buddy's face when he "randomly" got front row 8-)

Something to keep in mind is that venues generally have memberships and other random seats they get dibs on first before the ten club can touch them.. I am starting to think that "best seats in the house" are relative to what is available for the taking..

Look, this came up after Chicago too. Apparently they are getting more tickets this time around so your 184,xxx isn't going to get you as good a seat as it does if 10c only gets 10% of the seats (for example).
