I'm lst... What's with the teachers frm the setlist and the "so u wanna be a rockstar" song?! Is that KID ROCK?!??!?!?!

I would assume they meant guitar tech and drum tech.

Probably Ricky Ramone and whoever is Matt's tech

so you wanna be a rock and roll star. PJ has covered it many times.

Nope, it was their drum and guitar teacher. Ed went into a rant about how he hadn't been in touch with his teacher until about two months prior.

I dont usually buy posters for shows I havent gone to, I think the only ones I did buy are Dusseldorf, Ed Chicago, and SLC this year, I had a friend pick me up this poster too cause I totally love it!

Glad you feel the same way.

The poster is not one of the best and neither was the show. The band was on, the crowd was on but the setlist was not. I may have psyched myself out though. After LA 4 I didn't think there was a way to top themselves.

    Under Pressure was amazing though.

Today would be John Lennon and John Entwistle's birthday, maybe Baba? The Real Me? Gimme Some Truth? Hide Your Love Away?, or something new and special would be cool, we can dream 8-)

None of those happened. Would have been nice. Also, oddly enough, Vedder didn't talk about Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize either. I found that odd because there was a lot of "happy chatting" last night. Which of course led me to believe I stood no chance for hearing my song. I was right.

Still waiting for Sea to throw the SD fanview thread up...
    In the meantime -
GREAT SHOW - 2nd song into Ben's set was Under Pressure w/ Ed...unbelievably awesome...Ben and the R7 were great...Last Exit was a perfect start...lots of rockers - just a super day and show in all...
The pre-party at McGregor's was super - everyone won something in our 8-some...
10 C seats were excellent (sec R - row 8) extremely close and super view...
I would like to take one moment and just ask people who are negative on the boards (setlist sucks, poster sucks, crowd sucks, etc...) to make their own thread and stay off of these...to wade thru 31 pgs and read the garbage from people NOT EVEN THERE judging posters and the setlist, is well, funny, yet sad...
San Diego absolutely rocked - this band is in incredible form and was one of the best shows I've EVER seen!!!!
    Ahhh, that felt good :)
    Can't wait for the boot!
    Peace

You people that are complaining about the setlist last night need to get a grip. They will never play everything you want to hear. Last night's show rocked. With the exception of Bruce, nobody puts on anywhere near this caliber show night in and night out.

Thank you, I figured it was a great show.

If it had worked out, we would have been there with you and FANnCA.

I'm sure Sea will put one up soon...

    Take care and be well.

I just wanted to say that it was awesome to hear/see "Red Mosquito" last night. They have never played that in San Diego. Also, I hadn't seen it performed before. Also, "I Got Id" hadn't been played in San Diego since the Vitology tour in '95 which I missed. Experiencing those two songs live definitely made the show special for me personally.

The setlist was very similar to the setlist in '06. I almost wasn't able to make it to this one, so I'm very grateful despite the setlist being simialr to the last time I saw them. "I Got Id" is one of my fave PJ songs so...YEAHHHHHHHHH BoyyyyyyyyY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally got to see it after waiting 11 years :)

Awesome version of Star Spangle Banner, Mike. It definitely makes up for the last time you played it here in '06 :)

Yeah, I cannot believe how anyone can make a negative comment about last night's show.
I can honestly say this was one of the best I've ever seen. The energy was just crazy!

I also love the poster. Completely different from all the others. And that Padres shirts is just siiiiiick!
