Wow. Just wow.... for a fucking record? For a fucking record!!
And then he says, ''well I could sell you one for $120.00''. I'm giving you a deal on it he tells me. I laughed and said, ''oh how nice of you''. I hung up the phone. LOL
But I did get one reserved from another store last nite. It's for my uncle who is a total vinyl fan and PJ fan now, thanks to me. hehe
He called me the first time after listening to the ITW soundtrack. He told me, ''I dig Eddie on this soundtrack''
I just got off the phone with a record company in Milwaukee. And they are selling them for $140.oo at their store. hahaha
I'm glad Amoeba Records here in LA isn't that much greedy..
their copies lasted about a week.. and as far as I know, there were only 20 copies.. I got one btw.

This is probably a different viewpoint than most, but to me its a piece of plastic. I love the album - I bought it off itunes to get the extra tracks, and bought a CD to have the artwork, and support my local store. I don't need it on vinyl that I wouldn't play anyway, and I certainly don't need to spend upwards of $100 for it. You can still hear the music without spending that much. Again, it looks like I'm probably the only one that thinks this way, but oh well.

I pay $300 for benaroya LPs, around $100 for no code, yield and LO2L.
I was lucky and had ITW for $20 (10C) but if not, I would be able to pay $100 or $150, although I don't like the idea of people selling it for that price. But if I had to chose between having it for $125 or not having it, I'd pay...

2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
2009: Rotterdam, London
2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm
They know that a huge market is going to exist for this kind of stuff, so why not at least try to satisfy that market. .
Then it wouldn't be a limited edition. The record company decided they wanted to have a 'collectible' and they did. Limited editions happen all the time in the art world - music is just another form of art.

I paid $300 for one once..... worth every penny to me... btw it was not a PJ lp
on a bright side if all the bonehead record stores throw them up on ebay the price will go dramatically.....
they are dumb to think they can cash in like some have, the more that are available the less they will fetch..... just trying to be positive
there are good people out there.....
speedy next week or at least on/after the 29th you might have better luck, I will keep my eyes open as I am also in chicago
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

If that puts things in perspective, I'd rather have the lp now though.

General release is on the 29th so wouldn't expect them to be on the shelves yet.
both told me they 'weren't sure' what they were going
to end up charging for the record, stating it would depend on the demand.
interesting. i think i'm beginning to see a trend.
a trend i don't like.
Ohhh come on, they're independent records stores, give em a break

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
i plan to
i'll be happy to let someone else buy my copy from them at an inflated price.
