Could we try to tone it down with the singing already? Some songs are made to sing along (Better Man, Alive, etc). But I go to the shows to hear the band and Eddie sing, not a couple thousand Pearl Jam freaks who think they have to show off the fact that they know every word to every song.
I now brand you "MikeDusha" as you will be forever known on here
This is the worst post in the history of the board. And that is saying something.
Congrats, troll.
and now the terrorists win!

seriously, isn't that the whole POINT of such threads? i think you just assisted in him getting off. i normally don't feed the trolls by participating in their threads (thus rewarding/encouraging the behavior) but this one was just too stupifying to pass up. good times!

Well, you're right, of course ... but holy hell.
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do

I am with you, we should just go to a rock concert and sit quietly in our seats, also lets completely forget that the band feeds of our energy
i went to 2 Rush concerts during their last tour, both shows the people behind me asked me to sit, i'm like "IT'S A FUCKIN ROCK CONCERT!" those were the only shows i went to where i had to sit pretty much the only time, i mean we stood for the first couple songs, but then they played one mid-tempo song, and the guy behind me asked me to sit. now i've only been really going to concert for a few years, 2 CSNY shows, 2 PJ, 1 Who, and 2 Rush, those 2 Rush shows were the only ones i sat to watch...i felt so limited, i guess i'm just spoiled at those other shows
I rather have a whole arena singing every note that just one annoying girl screaming "wooo woooo eddiiieee woooow" the energy of +10000 people singing is amazing!
"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it"
Neil deGrasse Tyson
Its a good point and well made, I used to hate going to a show and not be able to hear the singing due to all the people whom are not the singers singing along to the songs - so now I sync up the live act with my ipod - ITS GREAT!
Congrats!!! First price goes to the OP!!! For the topic NOBODY needs!!!

I've been going to concerts for almost 30 years. I've seen Rush several times. They're awesome and their fans are very loyal.
I don't mind standing. I'll sit for some songs if everyone else is, but would never ask anyone in front of me to sit down. us older guys still like to rock, but sometimes its nice to sit back and let the band do their thing too.

I think I'm 180 degrees away from the OP's beliefs. Give me a crowd that sings along - SCREAMS along - and that is the key reason I love this band. Six guys on stage doesn't make a religious experience - 15,000 singing the same thing does!
