When my brother, sister and I were born in the 60s, we were delivered by forceps. All for different reasons but DRs don't use the high forcep method anymore. If a child was turned the wrong way or the cord was around the babies neck they used this way, now they c-sect. My Ob said barely anyone knows how to do that anymore.

My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT.
I may make you feel but I can't make you think."

    Two sons:

First one went into distress during labor so c-section done.

Second one I opted for---my hairdresser told me she had a vaginal birth after C-section and her stomach lining ripped so that scared me. Yes, I know, that does not normally happen but I still did not want to take the chance.

Recovery was fine from both--no problems.

I had 2 friends that had HUGE problems from ripping during vaginal births--awful problems after.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
