I think somebody pulled the ol' switcheroo...... 427xxx and I was on the lower level.
there is no way that 427XXX should even sniff the bottom floor. It is bullshit.0 -

If that is true, then explain this. Chicago night 1 Section 304. Chicago night 2 Section 101. #438xxxPittsburgh ('00), Cleveland ('03), Pittsburgh ('03), Grand Rapids ('04), Cleveland ('06), Pittsburgh ('06), Chicago ('07), West Palm Beach ('08), Tampa ('08), Chicago (both nights) ('09), Seattle (both nights) ('09), Philly (all 4 nights) ('09), Noblesville ('10), Columbus ('10), Cleveland ('10), Toronto (both nights) ('11), Wrigley ('13), Pittsburgh ('13), Wrigley (both nights) ('18)0 -
2008 and 2009 "tours" are limited and it is likely that more members with lower numbers are attending each show
more people trekking from all over
it only makes sense that your seats might not be as good as usual
also, you never know what arrangements each venue has with the 10c
I do believe they do the best they can to get the best possible seats for the 10c, but hey screw ups do happen when you have a crew of three or four people distributing a couple thousand tickets
but I hope it doesnt happen to me!
one other thing: the 10c does not get every seat in every row
so it is possible that your VIP buddy or that dude who won the radio contest had better seats than you
does not mean that seniority is a lie0 -

Kinda crappy that I emailed the 10C just to let them know that something fishy happened and the sent back a form response of "tickets are allocated by senority"...and that was it. They don't care that the tickets got screwed up. And that is screwed up.hippiemom = goodness0 -

exactly!
i've been in 10c since 2002, my first tour in 2003. i am a NYC area resident, so live in a highly populated area, with a LOT of fellow pj fans, and also where many choose to travel to see shows. my 10c seats on the east coast have been VERY consistent over the years. when i choose to travel, that's when my # can do far better (or simply GA) but 10c most definitely assigns by seniority. sure, there have been gaffes, and there also have been some changes....but it's still seniority. there are many factors that come into play as others have already mentioned - how big a 'tour' are they playing, how many 10c tix available, how many 10clubbers travel to shows, the location of shows you see.....all coupled with your 10c #. and so it goes....Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -
my number is 410xxx and my seats usually suck so i think it works pretty well haha...alll in all there not too bad and im always happy to be there but considering my seats seniority is usually in placePJ:7/2/03.9/28/04.5/25/06.8/5/07.6/14/08.6/27/08.6/28/08.6/30/08.

The fan club was very responsive and generous after the seniority mixup at night 2 in Seattle.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0

They've never done me wrong...member since the dawn of time (49XXX). I usually have 2-3 row seats. I expect I'll be farther back this tour with the 1-2 row thing...which I'm not too happy about. Someday I'll get to that 1st row...patience. Pearl Jam fandom comes in waves but those that are true will ride the tide.

What do you mean by "responsive and generous"? Did people at the show complain and get better seats, or is it just that the Ten Club admitted the mistake and apologized? Just curious if folks got front row seats and I was contently sitting in the back. Ha.0 -

No, not seats. When made aware of the error after the show, the Ten Club did its best to try to make up for it. I don't want to say any more than that.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -
I've had nothing but good experiences with my 10C tickets. I joined in 2001 and first bought tix to the Irvine Meadows/Los Angeles/Orange County show for the 2003 Riot Act tour. Those were the worst seats I have gotten but they were still really darn good....Front row of Loge if I remember correctly.....sure they weren't in the Orchestra down in front but what I got was still great. I couldn't complain one bit since I was only in 10C for 2 years at the time. I got phenomenal seats to their shows at the LA Forum in 2006. Last week I got great seats in the Orchestra (but to the far side of the stage) for last week's 9/30 show at Gibson Amp.
We'll see what I get for this weekend's show in San Diego.
All I can say is that the 10C has been very good to me since I joined. I'm grateful to just be in the building let alone get some great seats at a fair price.
Cheers. was it round and orange?... are we going to the same place?0 -
porchmonkey77 wrote:I don't normally complain, but this has been on my mind for quite some time. Being from Philly, the majority of my fan club seats have been at the Camden shows. In 2000, I was 13th row center. Great seats at the Spectrum in 2003. In 2008, I was 22nd row all the way almost against the side wall at the same venue (in fact I had almost the exact same seats both nights.) I really can't come up with any good reason for that (and yes I'm aware of the change in policy for rows 1-2 and 9-10).
and 00 and 03 had different rules (1 show only or block seating) from now (unlimited number of shows, pure seniority apart from the 4 lottery rows).
I got way better seats this year on the west coast than last year on the east, it's just because of numbers of people attending.0 -
Well, think of this way, all those loser teenagers 10 years ago, are now upstanding citizens with shitload of disposable income that is asking to be spent following Pearl Jam around :PI have no patience for bad music and stupid people...

I do not think posts like this are cool. I feel very badly for the Ten Club admins. and staff. They clearly work hard and do their best, and they often get bashed on these boards. It is truly a thankless task.
Be lucky it is not run like the Police fan club, where you have to pay over 100 dollars a year for the previlige of paying over 100 dollars to see them live.
My number is 402xxx and I was lucky enough to get in the 8th row of the orchestra for LA2. If, in the future, I get worse seats than that I would never complain.0 -
Never had a bad seat yet. Member since 94.
Thank you Pearl Jam and Ten Club.0
