Siduri is made by Adam Lee in Sonoma, a great guy and a great winemaker. I make the Sleight of Hand wines here in Walla Walla....also a great guy and great winemaker, ha ha. I have had the pleasure of having EV take a few bottles on stage, last time Chicago night 2 during the encore, and there is no greater thrill than to see him drinking my wine with a huge smile on his face! Another super fan, Geoff Whitman in Napa, makes a small label called Ledbetter...not out yet I do not think, but he makes the Medusa wines as well. He is super cool. We are thinking of colaborating on a project, blending his Napa wine with my Walla Walla wine, and doing it just for the Pearl Jam fans...what do you think?
I absolutely love red wine (and Pearl Jam of course ). I would definitely be inerested in that! Are your wines available on the east coast?
then again, this is last year, and I don't drink all the same wine I did a year ago.
looks like Mike doesn't drink on the show, because I've seen Stone with some heinekens...

sounds tremendous - love the old red wine. Although I suspect getting hold of it over here in the UK might be a bit difficult!

McCready has had two different bouts with substance abuse. The first came in the early 1990s, when McCready was fighting drug and alcohol addiction:
We had a lot of meetings where they would say, 'Hey Mike, you're getting way too fucked up.' But we're all really good friends and we love each other and I think they actually thought I was going to die, but they never took steps to kick me out of the band, which I can't believe because I fucked up so many times. I was drunk and making an ass out of myself and they were concerned about it....I'd clean up for a little while then I'd fall off the wagon, like addicts do....When everything blew up, everybody kind of lost their minds....I was clean for about a month...well, semi-clean; I can't bullshit about that...but I fell off the wagon after the Kurt Cobain thing. That fucked with everybody really hard. I mean, how do you get to that point of depression where suicide's the only way out?[27]
McCready's second bout came during the sessions for Pearl Jam's 2000 album, Binaural:
I was going through some personal problems. It was my own stuff I was dealing with. That was a tough time. I was out of it. That was due, at the time, I was taking prescription drugs. I got caught up in it, because of my pain.[8]
Thank God he's ok, would not be the same band without em.
My first show back in 1995 Ed had a sore throat so he was on hot tea. At one point he said they would not play another song until water was given to the people down the front, he sad he would give his but it was hot tea. My enduring memory of that show was buckets & bottles of water being thrown to the crowd for thw whole show. AAAHHH the memories.

Ed has four bottles on stage, 2 are red wine (not sure what kind) and 2 are dummy's filled with Gatorade. He doesn't mark which bottles are which... this is why you frequently see him take a swig from a bottle and spit it all back out..
How do I know this? One of my friends is high up in the Molson Ampitheater in Toronto, found this out when they played there the summer. For some reason he was helping set up some of the stage equipment and was talking to the stage manager about it.
Cheers,

Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
