With multiple casualties, the news isn't looking that good. I'm so sad for the young, vibrant piano teacher who just opened her own studio today facing this loss. She takes people horse back riding as a second job and made my last mother's day so special. I'm really sad for her.

Edit: A couple hotels requested tourism cancelations so they could house BC's displaced evacuees.
I was supposed to be in Osoyoos this week with extended family. We all cancelled, not just because of the air quality and risk, but because it didn’t seem right to take up a hotel room right now when so many people have evacuated and need a place to stay. I read that 100 firefighters had been billeted at the hotel we were supposed to be at.

I feel ya. I evacuated willingly because of the smoke last week. The lack of sky was getting me down. The poisoned air inside and the poisonous air outside was killing me. Glad I found a bit of blue... wishing ya well Pap.
