I think it's time to step back and re evaluate what is important here. I'm hurt, angry and throwing up defenses and I don't like to be like this. Anger is not an emotion I feel often so it's hard for me to work my way through it. It may cost me and that sucks.

The show was awesome yesterday, so glad I went! I would have totally regretted it had I not gone. Found a great deal on Stub Hub, too--I really lucked out. Ozzy may have the motor skills of a 5 year old, but his voice still sounds great. And the band is tight--their years of experience show, they make it look easy! :rock_on:

I got laid-off. Wasn't there that long. About 2 years. It was a good transition from my other job where I was laid off.

My sister is most likely studying abroad in the fall, and if so, looks like I'm taking a trip to Italy :)

It's going to be crazy expensive, but I'd love to visit her there. Going into college, the only thing I knew for certain is that I wanted to study abroad. Then difficult life events prevented that from happening, and it still bums me out to this day. So if I be with my sister for a week, and share in her enjoyment of being abroad, that would make me so very happy!

im sorry sprunkn i know how that feels
theres two scriptures that come to mind
one is ; a man with rage, take your leave
another is ; rage of an abled bodied man
God will in other words defend or take
    action on his side..
in your case its the latter
sometime we get angry when things
have been unfair and theres injustice
and nobody understands so you get
    frustrated, bitter, careless and short
tempered which some would not understand
im sorry your going through this i know bc
i live it but sometimes you just have to
take some deep breaths and remember
that some people are innocent or
imperfect and nobody can read your mind
i hope you feel better soon but you really
need to talk to somebody who understands
what you have been through and your hurt
and find support and resolve before its
too late and you become selfish or bitter..

That sucks Ms. Haiku...perhaps you will find something else that suits you better!

10 years ago this week I had some serious medical crap going on in my life (complications due to Crohns Disease) that left me in a drug induced coma for 2 weeks, the ICU for 4 weeks, and then a full 6 months of recovery in and out of the hospital. The doctors seriously didn't think I would make it. I was 16 years old. It was a very surreal experience and I think the main reason why I didn't die during the coma was because I never thought that it was possible. I was in the hospital and they were going to fix me and everything was going to turn out just fine. I was very naive.

Pearl Jam Self Titled came out the week before I left the hospital for the first time. That record was very healing at the time. (Comatose!) In the years following, I hated the record because it reminded me of this crazy experience. I have since listened to it enough that I have new memories associated with the songs, so I don't freak out while hearing them...

I'm not sure what my point is. I guess it's just nice(?) to reflect back on literally life-changing experiences on their anniversaries and know that you came out a changed but better person.
