I shouldn't have to use bug spray just to water my garden, stupid heat, if it wasn't so hot, I wouldn't have to wait until 10pm to water...and I already water in the morning too...I have to water twice a day.

I could say that I think. I was in the Amadeus Youth Choir, so it was a group setting, but there was still work one on one. Why do you ask?

By the way.. I figured out there are two kinds of vocalists. The first type can mimick or recreate any note by ear.. The second can mimick or recreate any vocal structure by ear. The first set are classic vocalists.. The second group are what they call Minas. ( as in Mina birds). I am
A Mina. And much to everyone's amazement on Karaoke nights.. I can mimick Layne Stalely perfectly! And some of Eddie's vocals too, like in Jeremy and Evenflow, but that's about it. It used to freak people out.. I haven't done this in years though.

I dunno why but they gave me a business card holder this morning…My boss gave it to me…like the kind you carry in your purse to hold your business cards….but I don’t have business cards…lol

Maybe it's foreshadowing a promotion and you would need to carry business cards afterwards...
    HAHA....that's nice thoughts...but I just got this Job....so I doubt it....but maybe they're going to order me business cards anyway...? I dunno....lol
Oh well. Worth a shot though. I'll still keep hope that it's a promotion!

So this is a new one!!! Got an email yesterday as a response to a job application, saying they'd love to have a phone interview with me. I had the interview at 10:30 this morning. Lady ends it by saying she'll email me a date/time for an in person interview. Great! Cool! Next step! 1:35 PM, get an email saying, "I actually just received confirmation that this role is no longer available."

um...WHAT? Wtf? How unprofessional and bizarre and I'm just super confused and disappointed right now.

I am at the point where I'm a decent enough guitar player, but I am a really bad singer.... I have heard of people doing it in college or for a job or something, but I'm out of college and just looking to sound less horrible haha. I don't want to pay that much, as i think they would be pretty expensive, but I haven't researched it at all.. Of course the better i get at guitar, the more I would probably want to spend to get better at singing. I guess I'm wondering if anyone took some and actually got better, or if it's more of a talent that you need to be born with? I think i can siing ok when singing along to a song, but If I try to sing without a song, I don't have the ear to really hit the correct notes. I don't know..

Yes, it is hard, isn't it? Ten years ago we left Ottawa, where we had been for 7 years. We left our daughter's first house (she was almost 5 when we left) and all the friends we had made to come back to the west coast. Good luck Nami - hope your move is for the best.
