    Blah. Yesterday was the last day of our fiscal year for my job...I had an awesome year, and should have been celebrating. Instead, I was home by myself, doing nothing. Why is it so hard to make friends as you get older? I moved here 2.5 years ago, and still barely know anyone around here...I feel like a loser.
    Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

    You shouldn't feel bad about this! It always takes about three to four years to really settle in someplace. The first few years, people are just getting used to the new person and you are trying to get used to being in a new place.

    thanks...it probably wouldn't bother me as much, but the same thing happened when I moved to CA a few years back and I was hoping this move would be a smoother transition!! I've gone on meetup.com and tried to find some groups with similar interests, but there aren't any groups within 30-45 minutes of me unless I want to Zumba or read the bible. I don't. LOL!!!
