With Fed scrawled on his chest in Kentucky woods.....May turn out to be suicide, but I doubt it. So let me be first to say "Thank You Glenn Beck and Fox" :(

MANCHESTER, Ky. -- A U.S. Census worker found hanged from a tree near a Kentucky cemetery had the word "fed" scrawled on his chest, a law enforcement official said Wednesday, and the FBI is investigating whether he was a victim of anti-government sentiment.
The law enforcement official, who was not authorized to discuss the case and requested anonymity, did not say what type of instrument was used to write the word on the chest of Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old part-time Census field worker and teacher. He was found Sept. 12 in a remote patch of the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky.

"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
I suspect that as health care reform never comes, there are going to be more and more sociopaths out there due to having untreated mental illness.
How sad for that man and his family. RIP.
part-time no less.
and a teacher.
and 51.
sweet bejeebus.
tragic.
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
But, trying to place blame on a tv station...or a lack of national health care...seriously?
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Yep, never been any anti-government quacks before fox news...
Let's all try to get that grip back on reality.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
On the other hand, you could look at any institution that is pro-government as an equally, if not MORE dangerous entity. I'd rather all of our press be free and objective, but if I had to err on the side of media influencing our trust over the ultimate authority that is our government, I'd rather they push for mis-trust of them, even anti-government over a super-pro statist agenda. After all, the latter breeds extreme nationalism, which ultimately leads to war, usurping private property and individual rights.
Fox have been RAH RAH RAH statists in our not so distant past too. They are not to be trusted, nor are any of the other mainstream media outlets if you ask me. We need to stop settling for the "lesser of 2 evils" and demand some real press already.
You're just beginning NOW? I've been wondering about people as early back as I remember
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
There are a lot of people with anger toward the government for reasons that have nothing to do with whether the government decides to screw up health insurance or not.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the census and the questions they ask. Of course, killing someone over it would never, ever cross my mind.
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
Not solely. Mostly directed at the wacko that would do something like this. But sure, some aimed at people believing FOX news has the power to drive people to kill Federal employees. Thats' the same thinking that Tipper Gore used to put labels on albums...same thinking that gets video games and music blamed for kids doing sick things...
not suicide, slain....
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
There are many anti-government quacks, but Fox tends to cater to the ones more likely to get violent and does its best to stir them up. Even at the height of anti-Bush sentiment, can you recall any remotely similar incidents where left wing quacks started killing people?
Anyway, at least now we know why Drifting disappeared... he must be on the run
No, the things you describe are a result of the same thinking Fox news does... create an imaginary panic about how your family is in danger from rap/the feds and issue histrionic calls to arms to do something about it. Since the left likes committees, they hold a circus of a senate hearing and slap a meaningless feel good label on cd's and pat themselves on the back. Since the right likes guns and the revolution and tea parties, they start killing people.
In the 8 years of Bush/republican congress, how many politically motivated killings do you recall? I can't think of one. Since Obama took office 8 months ago, there have been three. There will be more. Fox and its allies are doing their damndest to stoke some very dangerous fires among dangerous people by demonizing everyone that is left of Pat Robertson.
Sad as it is, it's people like the Michelle Bachmans, he Glenn Becks and the Rush Limbaughs who foster and encourage hate and fear of the government when it serves their purposes. Please, even Sarah freaking Palin has a lot of people convinced that he Government can decide if you're not worth keeping alive and the death panel will come get you and execute you in the street.
This is going to happen a lot more, I'm afraid.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
You get it from the other side too. Do you think Michael Moore is encouraging people to love the government?
The issue I see is that it comes off more hypocritical from when it comes from the left. In other words, at least the right generally wants to see smaller government and that's why they are always talking against it and trying to limit it.
The left criticizes the government on lots of issues, but on many other issues its answer is to let the government handle it. For example, The left will bitch and moan about privacy issues and big brother, yet in the next breath push for the government to take over health care and run everyone's lives.
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
You're right. the right NEVER argues for smaller government while at the same time asking the government to step in and regular our private sex lives or medical decisions to better reflect their personal values. They don't want smaller government. They just want the government to spend it's time and money teaching creationism, building 10 commandments monuments in courtrooms, outlawing porn and gay sex in one's bedroom, and other dramatic invasions of privacy.
It is not hypocritical, for either side. The right thinks government should regulate values and leave your bank alone, the left thinks the opposite. Neither is a complete contradiction, they're both perfectly valid and consistent positions.
The true difference is it comes off much more dangerous from the right. Michael Moore does not incite violence with his rhetoric. And even then, I don't recall him ever being anti-government... 3 of his movies are anti-corporations, not government (health care and auto industry, then gun control). Only Faherenheit 9/11 was remotely close and it wasn't anti-government so much as anti-Bush (and a bad movie). But the bottom line is nobody on the left killed anyone over their disdain for Dubya the last 8 years. Obama has been in office 9 months and the whole time the right has been skewering him with accusations of socialiam, nazism, racism, and even terrorism. The result? 3 people being murdered by whacko right wingers empowered by the outrage of people like Glen Beck. Tell me the last time a left-wing whacko killed anybody.
The the #$%^ are you on about? Michael Moore has never suggested that people should be afraid of Census takers. Michael Moore has never encouraged people to be afraid of Government workers. Michael Moore hasn't told people that the Government would be forcing their kids into labour and "Re-education camps." Nor has he told people not to take part in the Census. He also hasn't told people he wants people "Armed And Dangerous" against the Government. Michelle BAchman has done and said ALL those things.
Michelle Bachman has suggested that the Census is Big Brother coming for you and Sarah Palin has said that the Government will have a death panel that will decide that you're not "worth" keeping alive and execute you in the street. You can try to spin this any way but you and I both know you're making it up.
Well, you'd like people to think that, anyway. If the right wanted "Smaller Government" why did government get bigger under George W Bush and why are they all sponsoring votes to decide if my marriage is valid or not? I don't remember being given the chance to vote on YOUR marriage. Was that before I moved to America?
Yes. Because "Health Care" runs people's lives. Don't you wish they'd just close down the hospitals and kill all the doctors so we'd be free of that evil "health care?"
And for the record, allowing people access to a very low-level, bare-bones health care if they can't afford anything else isn't "Pushing" it on anyone. That's why it's called an "Option."
Are you really that ill-informed on stuff?
