BTW- in case anyone is wondering you can still order the Backspacer LP and "they try to deliver it to you by release date (the 20th)"

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
it wouldn't surprise me if they did make some sort of board statement or sent out an email, after all the dust has settled.
I do agree an explanation is deserved, but I don't personally accept the "I'm a paying customer, I deserve an answer" argument. This isn't Target.....or.....is it?

this is why I didn't buy backspacer from the 10C. Sure its a hard cover, but I really dont care as long as I have the real thing in the first place. (Plus I think the target version is nicer anyway). Anyway you can get the vinyl and vinyl fixer single at target too. So ordering is pointless when you can just drive to the store.
you are dealing with level-headed people, as far as I can tell, in this thread. no need to go that extra nutbar-mile you just went. enabling spouse of an abuser. My GOD. what in the hell happens to these otherwise mature threads??
You seem level-headed, Johnny, as indeed do many others here. It's the SolarWorld's absolutely mindless defense of Ten Club that I was spoofing.
Ten Club could make "the dust settle" a helluva lot faster if they'd just communicate with us like adults.
The kids of today should defend themselves against the Seventies Nineties.
in my research i learned that the 10C used DHL Expedited Smartmail to ship my CD from Auburn, WA to Rutherford, NJ. this DHL service takes 2 - 5 days to get from one point to another. on sept 17, my CD made it to its final destination post office in syracuse, ny. now my CD has been demoted to "standard mail", meaning it can take up to 9 days for it to reach my residence in syracuse.
the email i got from the 10C said that "domestic packages are shipped USPS Priority or Express" or something to that effect. when i emailed the 10C for verification that my package was shipped as such, they did not reply, or at least haven't yet. i emailed them yesterday evening.
i said this on another thread, but overall i'm extremely discouraged. i feel like the fan club really dropped the ball here and i obviously know that i'm not alone. to a band's fan club, nothing should be more important than getting the music to the members as soon as humanly possible. and i won't believe for one second that the fan club folks themselves didn't have their own copies of everything days maybe even weeks before the actual release.
i did go back to my original order number and saw that there was no shipping charge for the CD. i would have rather paid shipping, so that i could get my CD here by the tuesday after the release. there was no separate shipping charge for my toronto boot, and i received it in less than a week. seriously what gives.
does the band realize what's happening here? their fan club is dropping the ball bigtime. here i am preaching to my friends all the time about why the pj fan club is so great and i dont even have a copy of the new album in my possession yet. i'm actually trying not to talk about it amongst my friends because i'm embarassed to even mention it. and i know that obviously the band is focusing on their tour and they should certainly be happy about the release of their new album, but too many of the most devoted fans are extremely disappointed this week and i certainly won't forget it.

it aint easy being your own BRAND NEW SHINY record company
ill cut PJ all the slack they need till WHENEVER
And this, my friend, is precisely why they will never treat fan club members with any dignity, respect or even a smidgen of appreciation.
Next time I will definitely not pre-order from Ten Club. What a joke.
ha ha OK buy from target then!!!
youll still be buying it! LMFAO
Yes, and I'll save shipping and handling fees as well.
Also, I should point out this isn't about not "cutting PJ slack." This has nothing to do with PJ, who I am sure have no role in taking orders and shipping albums. This is about Ten Club, which is not a band, but a fan club business that has gotten fat, slow and arrogant on the mindless praise of idiots who've confused them with Pearl Jam.

All I count is a handful of fans crying that they don't get taken care of how they believe they should be. Dust... right.

No you are being so ridiculous it's entertaining. Kat's already read this I'm sure. You really should lighten up though man. Its a damn vinyl record that got to you later than intended. Worse things are going on these days to get this worked up over.

Well it's ironic then, because what I've found entertaining is your compulsive, slavish excuse making on Ten Club's behalf while they arrogantly refuse to address the matter.
You need to realize their will always be "worse things going on" but that doesn't excuse crummy business practices and mistreatment of this band's fans, and it doesn't mean we should silently put up with it or even "lighten up." I'm far from the only Ten Club member here who didn't get her pre-ordered Backspacer. In case you haven't noticed, this thread is seven pages long (and there are 3 or 4 other threads like it) and consists mostly of fans who didn't get their albums. There's a problem and Ten Club should address it.
What I don't get is why you feel the need to shout us down. What's in it for you? If you don't like legitimate complaints, wise up and don't read the threads discussing Ten Club's failure to deliver Backspacer. Duh.

I can completely understand why some people would be pissed about not receiving stuff when they are suppose to. You would think that it would get to you EARLIER than it hit the shelves , much less weeks after... Not to mention i never get a fucking email or pm back from ten c with very feasible questions.. That's it , i'm calling HR

I do agree an explanation is deserved, but I don't personally accept the "I'm a paying customer, I deserve an answer" argument. This isn't Target.....or.....is it?
As much money as the good folks around here sink in to merchandise, tickets , albums ect.. An answer is the very least they deserve..
