The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

"This is the greatest band in the world"---Ben Harper

  • Rankings after two weeks of nonstop listening (I'm sure over time songs will jostle around on these lists of ours):

    Unthought Known
    Speed of Sound
    Gonna See My Friend
    The Fixer
    Got Some
    Force of Nature
    Amongst the Waves
    Just Breathe
    Supersonic
    Johnny Guitar
    The End

That was tough 'cause I really love 'em all so far. Backspacer's a tight album, each song's strong.

BS is undoubtably a fantastic album - on so many levels! The melodies are sublime, the layers intricate. Upon Yield's release, I saw it as a 'fresh sounding' album, and in many ways I feel the same here with BS. "Amongst The Waves", "Force Of Nature", "Unthought Known", and "Just Breathe" stand for me as the best four songs I've heard on any PJ compilation! BS has grown on me in much the same way VS. did... within three days of listening it started to inspire and change the way I listen to and think about things.. Congrats PJ, genuinely great work! ;)
