This is from the House Bill (HR 3200) itself:
SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS.
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.
...
People who are here Illegally can still go to doctors they are willing to pay for. The Bill makes it so they cannot have access to a Public Option.
...
Yeah, but if you cut out the first part of that sentence in the bill and then change a few words you'll see that it really says "this bill will allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States." Nice try with posting facts and actual quotes from the bill, but i see right through your left wing media spin!
I do wish they could get passed the stupid crap they cling to...because there are serious issues within all these topics to truly debate and hopefully improve. It does get old that they seem to be continually harping on talking points, because it's more about getting elected and getting power than what you do with it once you have it.

I wholeheartedly agree. They're not looking for debate on this, although there is that one republican in the Senate that proposed a pretty decent plan and seems willing to work on real issues. But there are far too many people just looking for random provisions they can distort out of context (eg. death panels) to sink any proposed reforms. I think it's being done simply as a stall tactic... it's coming from people who have no clue how to fix health care, they just don't want the other side to be able to do it and get all the credit. They're stalling while they try to figure out some sort of band aid to slap onto health care so they can go home and say "see, we fixed it, not those other losers... re-elect me!" It's rather disheartening.

Yep...I also wonder if the people puching the current plan of reform are only pushing a "band-aid" that looks good but doens't work and is way more expensive then it needs to be so they can say "Look at me...vote for me!!!"
BUt I totally agree in that tose that have no ideas are attcking because it's all they can do. Happens all the time in life, especially in the real world of business. Those with the ideas get bombarded by doubters that have no solutions...until it works then they claim to be part of the team.

Well their doubting helped shape the solution to make it more effective of course
And I do agree that I think the speed of this thing is alarming. It's what I disliked about Bush... sudden crisis and panic followed by rushed and not very well thought out legislation. Out of nowhere Kerry offered amendments that I think are absurdly unnecessary burdens on business and kinda defeats the purpose of the reforms entirely, but it's a feel good amendment and now he can say he took a tough stand and was proactive in the debate.
proof that some people only see what they want to, and grasp at anything to try and prove their non existant point.

That Washington Times article was a good find. i was looking for the 'I want to make Illegal aliens [into] American citizens' statement and was getting nowhere.
I'm glad he posted that article... and i'm glad he had no idea what he was posting. It saved me the hassle of looking it up.
No offense but democrats listening to the Washington Times is as bad as Republicans listening to Fox.

I would call this comment, in the context it was made, probably the stupidest thing you've said here.
...
But, it would be an insult to stupid people.
