I hear ya. I'm still waiting for a Calgary date. I have a feeling Vancouver is likely the first western date, and then they'll head east from there, hitting the usual cities (Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, etc..) Goddammit I miss this band. Can't wait to hear the new album and see 'em live again."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

And just like that, a Calgary show just popped up on Ticketmaster!

Here's a recent interview with Hugh talking about the band's reunion and the possibility of a new album:

Thanks for this thread guys. If I hadn't seen it here I wouldn't have known they were touring again. I went to the show in Niagara Falls last night and I can say: The Headstones are back, they are LOUD, and they haven't missed a beat. Great show and a great crowd. Really loud, but not too crazy. The Headstones have played Buffalo a number of times over the years, but somehow I never got the chance to see them before this. So glad to finally get the opportunity. Found this one video from the show:

This was one of the highlights. "Unsound" led into an extended jam which eventually became a cover of "Sympathy for the Devil" to close out the first set. Hope you get a chance to see the band in Toronto or out west.10/1/96, 10/14/00, 5/2/03, 6/28/03, 10/1/04, 9/11/05, 9/12/05, 9/13/05, 9/19/05, 5/9/06, 5/10/06, 5/12/06, 5/20/06, 6/23/06, 6/11/08, 6/12/08, 8/12/08 6/8/09 6/9/09(EV), 8/21/09, 10/27-28-30-31/09, 5/10/100 -

Great clip. Thanks for posting. I'm seeing them in Calgary on the 30th and I'm super pumped. so I ordered their two new shirts from maplemusic.com. usually, there's a detail button on the product to give you a close up of the design detail. not on these shirts. but "so what?" I thought, I want some headstones swag. So I pulled the trigger.
So I get them both in the mail yesterday (insanely quick shipping), and I notice on one shirt it says "Rocknfuckinroll" on the front. Hmmm.....ok. The other one on the back in big letters says "where's my fucking money?".
I love this band, and I'm not a prude. But come on, if you are going to sell shirts online without being able to see the actual text, you know your main selling demographic is generation x-ers, many of whom have kids that are starting to read, you may have wanted to put this in the description, no?
I don't really want my 5 year old daughter, who is currently learning to read, reading my shirt with the F word on it. Doesn't make me much of a role model, now, does it?Gimli 1993

Incredible show tonight in Calgary! The venue was terrible though. Century Casino? Really?? These guys should have been playing at MacEwan Hall. That being said, the place was jam-packed, the crowd was fantastic, and the beer lines were short and quick. All in all, a great night of high octane rock n' f--kin' roll from one of the greatest bands on the planet. In terms of pure energy this was easily one of the best shows I've seen all year, right up there with Pearl Jam and The Hip. Setlist off the top of my head (a few might be in the wrong order):
Tweeter
Pinned You Down
Settle
When Something Stands for Nothing
Cubically Contained
Been This Way for Years
Cut
Where Does it Go
F**k You
Losing Control
Cut Me Up
Mystery To Me
Blonde & Blue
Smile & Wave
Unsound
Oh My God/Sympathy for the Devil
Three Angels
S.O.S. (ABBA cover)
Heart of Darkness
Take It

New Year's Eve in Edmonton was great. Going in I was thinking they couldn't really be the same band they were 10 years ago, but I was wrong. These guys are still outstanding in terms of energy, agression and just flat out rock and roll. Same setlist as Calgary pretty much (judging by direwolf74's post). Great songs, great live band.0
