I hope we get T shirts like that for the Oz tour. I just hope they will sell merchandise outside the stadiums rather than inside, because if we get 15 min early entry by the time we line up for our merchandise 15 mins will be up.
yeah is there any news on what special treatment we'll get?

the shirts we get will not be like the north am shirts, re; sporting team related. we will get like what the city specific shirts were like in Europe:

also there will be merch stands out side of the venues.

Don't like them as much as the US ones, glad to hear there will be merch stands outside the venues, I thought there would be because they sell Aussie Rules merch outside Etihad Stadium.

in all honesty i think people getting to the venue super fucking early is a bit of a waste of time. the tenclub ticket booth won't open til like an hour before gates open. so you'll be waiting all day just to collect your tickets, to then have to go line up at the gate.

being there all fucking day is not gonna give you any advantage over any one else. just remember you'll only be lining up with fellow 10 clubers so it's all gonna be pretty civilised. this is ahy you get to go in before general public.

it's when they open it up to general public that you'll have some problems like people trying to push to the front.

that's how the 10c roll baby!

is it insanely cold in aussie tonight? we've got an insane southerly blowing right through us right now... it's 5 degrees. i'm not happy about it. as soon as this ipod o' mine (darth vedder.. heh) is synched up i'm gonna take it to my electric blanketed bed and go about listenin' to some pearl jam.

  • Even JJJ's 100 of all time was crap when they did it 10 year ago Alive was No.1 teen spirt was No.2. this time alive was back more and spirt was No.1 charts go on sale figures and trust me the can be fucked with how else do you explain ladyboy gaga

i can not explain it except for masses of people being brainwashed into thinking that its great music, but you are right charts are controled by the industry. Tripple JJJ's 100 of all time I can not comment on as I did not listen to it, but smells like teen spirt is an amazing song in my opion its just a little better than alive. The one funny thing i remeber about it was people making comments that their where not enough female artists in the list.

the shirts look awesome, but as for aussie sports teams what team from what sport would make a great shirt?

i for one don't want a pearl jam rugby jersey. for a start, those jerseys aren't so much jerseys anymore as they are lycra body suits.

how about pearl jam.. uh.. curling... brooms.

I make people vomit when I wear lycra as it is just so damm wrong. what other sports are played in nz besied rugby league and union, soccer(i think) and cricket. could be worse they could do a collingwood style jersey which would make us hated by all

    dwarf tossing?

    um...

isn't golf the most popular sport? or something? i know it's not actually rugby or cricket.

i hope they don't do the sports jerseys for us... we only have the one league team... and i don't give a good goddamn about the warriors. it's not like in america where you can align with the city... i don't live in auckland so i don't care about their sports teams.

actually i live in wellington and only care about the hurricanes or the lions on the odd occasion when a game is on and my flatmate makes me watch it. and usually my commentary is singing maori songs to them in the hope that it'll push them over the tryline.... or if it's the all blacks "hey look.. dan carter is.. um... wet.. ... THANK YOU GODS OF RAIN!"

there'll be enough dumb jocks at the concert to cover the whole sports thing. they'll be the ones being aggressive, ruining it for the people around them, screaming out for the band to play popular songs that they know even after the band have played them.
  • doompony wrote:

whats so sexy about dan carter?

yeah i hate those guys, any near me try to be agressive I will drop them then go back to enjoying the show.

damm I am going to be busy throwing crowd surfers, dropping jocks and tossing dawerves at eddie!

dan carter is hot when he's in his all blacks strip and he's wet from the rain. that's magical. any other time i can take him or leave him (yeah.. i can.. it's MY CHOICE.. heh.)

i hate those idiot jock types with a passion. the ones that think brute force will get them a better position in the front. nevermind the girl you guys just tossed 5 metres. as long as you and your boat shoes can see.

They could do a mixture of Soccer and Rugby, I dunno but I really like the shirts from the US so I hope they keep them up, :)

like i said, i really doubt they will. it'll more then likely just be the stickman shirts with the city names on them. it wouldn't work for a few reasons, 1. they wouldn't know any teams and their symbols and stuff, 2. we don't really have national sports like the US does, like baseball, NBA and such are national sports, with one team in a major city, look at the NRL and AFL, there are like 5 or 6 teams based in sydney and melbourne but no real sydney or Melbourne team as such. they wouldn't be able to pick a team that that is a clear reflection of that city.

it could work in a city like brisbane where we only have the broncos or lions in the NRL or AFL, sydney have the swans in AFL but a million NRL teams. mebourne have one NRL team that no one in melb likes even though they just won the final, and a billion AFL teams.

3, who knows what sort of trademark/copyright laws it could be braking.

you make a good point. and at least all the footage looks to be coming directly from existing releases.. so it's not like it's being spearheaded by anyone who i should care about
