    Sorry for your loss.
    Wishing you strength.

You don't know what you have until they are gone.
And if you don't get to see them often you cherish the time you spend with them.

i lost my father 4 years ago. it's hard for me to read this thread without getting emotional.

be well and live your life as your father would have wanted for you.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Sian, I am so sorry to hear this, my thoughts are with you.

I was raised by my grandmother and know the fear and worry of not having her with me for a long time now, I agree with your statement, keep your parents close to your heart and don't take them for granted.

Again, my wishes with you - be strong. Thank you for sharing your pain with us.

Oh Sian! I'm so so so sorry to hear this!

I remember you gushing about your dad in Manchester, I know how much you love him. And he must've been well aware of that himself. I'm sure he couldn't be more proud to have you as a daughter.

I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel, my thoughts and prayers and good vibes are with you, your family and everyone else affected by this loss.

Sian, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. I was shocked and saddened - he seemed like such an active, vibrant man. He was much too young, but you are so very lucky to have had him as your dad. I'm sure he felt the same about you. My condolences.
