Ten club tickets...aren't they supposed to be good?

Got my tickets for tonight at United Center and got 300 level behind the stage. WTF? I mean I've only been a member since 2005 but I thought I'd at least be able to see the show.

For the 2006 shows at United Center I was on the floor and to the side of the stage. I know I'm not entitled to the best seats in the house, but 300 level tickets with a bad view?

oooooh that sucks. from what I see 2001 is pretty good at least for this board. people could've have switched the tix. like people that work in the window. i think that happened in camden a few years ago.

    What section are you in?

... starting to believe they got way more than the normal allotment for the Chicago shows ...

Actually just edited my post...forgot I'd let my membership lapse in 2005 and rejoined so I guess I should know I would get bad ones. Then again, like I said in 2006 my tickets were pretty good.

  • I'm in sec 317 - I'm baffled and bummed. I got better tixs for the same price last show at the UC buying with the masses-I had to get 4 so went the regular route. I'm convinced that someone at Ticketmaster switched them-especially since the envelope wasn't sealed. Don't get it. Thought the floor and then side sections were reserved for 10 club(per the email that went out with pickup instructions) Any insight?
  • ummmm...is the box office staff pulling some fast ones? :? 10c doesnt allocate seats behind the stage.

This really sucks!!! Can you talk to the person from the 10 Club in charge of distributing tickets? Must be some kind of mix up or like others have said 10 club had a huge allotment of tickets...which could be the case since tickets were on sale for over a day for these shows.

Shit. I have a worse 10c number. I'm praying I'm not in the 300's. I thought the point of 10c tickets was to avoid the shitty seats way up.

check out touringfans for tonights show

and this is just a sampling of 10c seats....i'm sure there are more people with low numbers that haven't posted...seems like a popular 10c show...new members are unfortunately

be glad you're there and enjoy the show

My number is 413xxx since I also let me Ten Club membership lapse a few years ago. Just picked up my tix and I'm in 317....very bummed. I have never not been on the floor or near it through Ten Club. I mean I knew I'd have worse tickets here in CHI but 317? Don't get me wrong, I'm still happy to be going....just a little bummed as I've never seen PJ from the rafters.

  • I've been a ten club member since 2005, we've been to a dozen shows since then on ten club tickets - just picked mine up 10th row - in the 300's. Oh well, we have tickets for tommorrow night too, maybe we will do better. Everyone should just re-set expectations if they have not yet picked up tickets for tonight - should be alot of ten clubers in the rafters tonight
  • Just picked up mine, count me as another bummed fan. I got 301 and these will be the worst seats I've ever seen PJ from. I'm assuming since hardly any other shows had been announced when Chicago was, there are a ton of travelers here. Oh well, should be an excellent couple shows then, and hopefully better seats for tomorrow!

the notice for chicago and toronto tickets did say that if you want tickets you will be able to get them, i think the presale for just for a certain amount of time and not for how many tickets

Expectations have been reset with a 416XXX 10c number. Still holding out hope I can win the lottery tonight or tomorrow! Still pumped to be in the building!!!!!!
  • we reserve the best seats in the house for fan club tickets, starting from the first rows on the floor and extending back. We also reserve the side sections closest to the stage when necessary. All Ten Club tickets are for reserved seating unless otherwise announced.
Ten Club tickets are for reserved seating and allocated by membership seniority, with the exception of rows 1-2 and rows 9-10 which will be used for random allocation.
Group seating is not an option, but your pair of tickets will be seated together.

This is quoted from the "ten club tickets" under "seating".

I was just on the ticketmaster site , to see what is available for tonight and was able to come up with 2 tickets in section 310. Now I paid for my tickets and went through the 10 club pre-sale in May, and my tickets are in section 317. That does not seem right at all.
  • Guys
The UC is always packed with Ten Club people. I'm a 105XXX and I got 14th row. I'm NOT complaining. I'm just saying someone from 1993-1994 is still 14 rows back. Closest I got at the UC was 7th row or so. Chicago is a very central location for people to travel to. From Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio et al.

If you have 300 level behind the stage and they don't put up the backdrop you probably have a much better view than half the people in the UC. You're looking straight down on the guys. And they do have stacks just for you.

i was just on tm too, they offered seats in section 119, and my seats are in section 334, that's just not right.

This happens at MANY shows where seats get opened up day of. FOlks were waiting at the ticket lines and asking if anything new got released when I got my TC tix. Ten Club can't reserve the whole UC. They just can't.

  • I picked up mine, and I have 318. My 10c # is 406,XXX (yes, I fucked myself when I let it lapse).

I talked to another 10c member who got 311- across the entire fucking arena. There was definitely a mix-up. At least mine are near the stage (far up, but at least in line with it). Hers are across the entire arena. I don't expect decent seats, but I wouldn't expect 90% of the people in there to have BETTER seats than me either (as is the position of the girl I spoke with).

until someone with a low 10c # then there may be something to be concerned about..so far the people that have been complaining have high #'s
