    For the life of me I can't see what's so bad about this. It's just a live performance of the song and is actually pretty cool. The crowd seems fine. My hunch is that a lot of you don't like the video because you don't like the song, and you don't like the crowd because they're not you.

    actually, visually i liked both those commercials (dont care for those songs). the visuals were pretty cool. this isnt similar at all. this is just the band playing to a crowd with screens in the back. so what?

    I don't like the song... I LOVE THE SONG... so it has nothing to do with that... and sorry, no jealousy here.. i'm too old for that shit... just simply don't like it, that's all... maybe if it was black and white it would help... dunno, just doesn't hit me right

    hey i couldn't give 2 shits about this but it's edited in such a way to appeal to a younger demographic who has the attention span of a gnat on meth...wait until you see the 15 and 30 second commercials...those will make this look like citizen cane :D

    how so? im thirty and it appealed to me. Pretty much every video ever made has quick cuts. its what makes them vidoes. thats why people crit some movies for their 'music video' editing.

    btw, i pretty much hate the song.

    The point people are trying to make about the unemployed audience is that pearl jam representatives called a local unemployment agency and hired people from that agency for the day.

    So this is pretentious? ( 1. Claiming or demanding a position of distinction or merit, especially when unjustified. 2. Making or marked by an extravagant outward show; ostentatious.)

    "Hey let's have you guys play the song a dozen times live in front of 300 people we hired and we'll film it and make a video". Step-up your Vocab, or don't use words you don't know how to use.

    The video is not that bad. I kind of liked it. The only thing was I felt like I was watching it while on a roller coaster. Who cares if they used extras for the commercial? They seem more lively than the actual Pearl Jam fans who attend concerts and sit in the first few rows.
