So I was thinking today that we all read and comment on each others posts here and see their avatars, but really we don't know to much about everybody here, so I was thinking we should post a little about ourselves:

    Hey! I am in PHX too. Sadly, I am not 25 anymore, though wish I was. My official bio...

    I am 42, a girl, and started listening PJ in 1991 when I was trying to find may way at the age of 24. First concert was also in that year.

    I have been married since I was 19 to the same man and am still madly in love.I have a 21 year old son that digs a lot of the same music and will be in Austin with me. I follow The Black Crowes around too, but have lost some interest as of late. I have to have music swirling in my head to feel.

    I volunteer for a few different organizations, try to live green, am liberal and LOVE to get into debates.

    Interests - camping, yoga, 4 wheeling, rock hounding, the woods, wine, good food, live music, vintage concert tshirts, traveling, art (newest obsession is Ford Smith check him out), the environment.

    Have a 3 year plan to get my ass to Big Sur and live.

    Oh, and I get tattoos.

    My first listen was at summer camp.. I had a staff in '03 I believe, who listened to Do the Evolution excessively. I didn't care - I freaking loved it. But I couldn't remember the name of the group that sang it! Two years later, I bought rearviewmirror, and was thrilled to rediscover that song, and then even more thrilled to see it at my first show.
    Favourite kind of guitar: Fender Telecaster (have been trying to get my guitar to sound like Roy Buchanan's for about a year and a half now)

    26 year old male from Chicago, IL. Been listening since mid 90s. Vitalogy was one of my first ever CD's. My PJ obsession really kicked in during the past 3-4 years. First show was at United Center in June 03.

    27 yr old male from just north of Boston, MA. I got the Ten CD for my tenth birthday (ironic?) in Jan 92 and have been a fan ever since. Kinda discovered some other music around the Binaural timeframe and didn't listen as much. My first show was in 2004 @ the pre-VFC gig in Boston and I rediscovered what I had been missing. Saw them again last year in Mansfield and am prepared to hop a flight on Friday to Chicago to see them again on Sunday.

    Listened ever since I heard Jeremy back in 91-92...been a huge PJ fan since..second cd ever was ten...

    First Show was Randall's Island II 96.....One of the greatest shows of all time

    my wife and I will be attending the Philtown October 28th, 30th, 31st shows,Camdem next Summer and hopefully the Electric Factory at some point in the future(wishful thinking)

    Because of my age, I started listening to them as soon as Ten hit my middle school brain. I was the at the perfect age for Nirvana, Soundgarden, PJ, etc and immediately starting listening to all sorts of "crazy" dark music (according to my mother) and dressing in black and dyeing my hair purple/blue/pink. I still have a VHS tape that I used to record videos from MTV. I wasn't allowed to actually buy Nevermind when I was 12, so I just recorded all of the videos from MTV and watched them non stop.
    I was totally obsessed with the video for Alive and (of course) developed a HUGE crush on the whole band. Sigh. The good old days.

    I didn't follow them much after 98 or so, and was sort of snotty about them until I met my husband who was a big fan. He took me to my first show and I was totally hooked. Now I am a bigger fan than he is and have to convince him to travel all over the place for shows. :D

    -I've seen Weird Al in concert twice.
    -I don't eat enough fruit and vegetables.
    -I got free electricity in my apartment for the last two months.
    -I need a haircut.
    -I think Jamie Moyer is a god among men.
    -I don't "get" the band Tool.

    RE: Tool. Agreed. Also that guy has a winery now. I don't get that either.
