Nice! I am from the Scranton WB area and graduated from PSU!

    Texas Scores..........

Very cool, my mom grew up in Kingston and that is actually where my grandparents live. My grandfather actually works at The Kirby to this day, at 98 he is involved with selecting the movies. I have cousins that just graduated from Dallas High School and other family that live in Bear Creek (in the middle of nowhere)

THE F.M. Kirby Center!? It's a small world!

I have seen many performances in that place!

Texas will get the ball back! It's on....

Definitely a small world, it is a great theater, I have been to quite a few shows there myself. Last thing I saw there I believe was Seinfeld standup.

So Little Nicky Saban wins again. Too bad the NFL was too much for him. Jeez what a worm.

    Congrats Bama.

However I will never give full respect to any college team until they go through a playoff!

Sorry, the BCS is horseshit and always will be.

holy crap we have another husky fan here? 8-)

that game sucked last night. i really didn't care who won, but the undercurrent of dissappointment that McCoy wasn't playing made it a joke. had to feel for that freshman, but i hang that loss on the UT coaching staff. how the hell can they have a true frosh as a backup? he did ok, but he was in no way prepared for that game. their play calling sucked once he was in, and that shovel pass, well, stuff like that happens when you stick a band aid on a gunshot wound.
I love to turn you on

i'd assume that PSU will have some growing pains next year with the breaking in of a new QB.

From a distance, Pete Carroll to the Seahawks looks like a man fleeing town before the hammer comes down... ala John Calipari. Accurate assessment, norm?

    I think he'll be sorry....

i posted this on pete's facebook page:

So that's how it is, huh Pete? Abandon the program that gave you your greatest success in your coaching life instead of sticking through the potentially bad times ahead? Somehow, I thought you were better than that. Granted, it can't be easy to work for a loser like Mike Garrett but you still have the chance to be one of the greatest college football coaches in the history of the game. If you leave now, you'll be just a fond memory.

Good luck in Seattle...you'll need it

i don't think you can fault a ncaa guy wanting to make it in the pro's.

if Sweater vest Jim wanted to take over an NFL team, i would thank him for all the victories over that team up north and wish him well in the NFL.

    well it's official...very disappointing

Pete Carroll, who led USC to seven Pacific 10 Conference titles and two national championships, will resign his position at the university and accept the coaching job with the Seattle Seahawks.

Trojans players and coaches learned of the news via text message from an assistant coach, The Times' Gary Klein has learned.

Seahawks chief executive officer Tod Leiweke was in town on Sunday to finalize the deal. Carroll will take over as coach while the organization begins its search for a new general manager.

Carroll amassed a record of 97-19 in nine seasons at USC. The Trojans won national titles in 2003 (Associated Press) and 2004 (Bowl Championship Series). They finished 9-4 this season and won the Emerald Bowl, their first appearance in a non-BCS bowl in eight years.

if there is music to face, he shouldn't be there. USC should fire him.

    Wow, Bucks #2!

Good to see TCU and Boise starting high. Maybe, just maybe, if they go undefeated they could play in THE game.
