Jeez. Even the comedians Conan had on after he went to TBS were not funny.
Now waaaait a minute, are you saying the comedians he had on NBC were not funny?

Related - I said fuck it and ordered that sandwich to be delivered by Poe's. Will report back when it is devoured.
No I am saying his show sucked, for the most part, after he left NBC....which is so weird to me because his Late Night show was an all-timer for a couple decades. Even his 11:30 show that took over for Leno was still decent. Whole thing fell off the wheels when he went to cable.

What is all in this sandwich? Looks great.

gonna drop a huyuuuge dump in the toilet later, kiddies.

That does look good.  I'm not a big fan of the greasy fries right now.  Go back and forth.  Now, we are on the outs.

Yeah, that's what I thought you were saying. You'd think being given more control of his show that it would get better; quite honestly didn't watch it that much at that point though.

It's the 'Who's Mike Schmidt?' - his rendition of McNally's Schmitter. lol I paid a hefty premium for the delivery, only live once amirite?

It’s funny because I met the OP in Philly and me and him went and had Philly cheesesteaks sandwiches I’m not sure what the name of the place was but me and him became close friends! He doesn’t post here anymore but I’m still friends with him oh his love for PJ completely diminished!

Stopped at Dalessandro's on Saturday. Didn't take a picture but it's still my favorite cheesesteak in the city. And, I think I mentioned this before, but I love their ordering system now. SO much better than the pre-covid days.

This is just a thread for Philly sandwiches right? Right.

This is the cemita choriqueso from El Chingon, and it was amazing.

"house made pork chorizo, refried beans, guac, papalo, melted cheese, onions, cilantro" - I was torn on which cemita to get. It's at 10th & Cross, opened fairly recently. We're heading there for a Super Bowl Eve dinner, so was curious to try something before then. Guy who owns it is a chef who worked at different places but wanted to open his own Mexican joint. He bakes all his own bread, so the roll was really good.

I had a cheese steak at at Steve's Prince of Steaks in Northeast Philly last night.

For an un-chopped steak it was really good.

F'ed up that Phil's and JRP have to duke it out in the first round. Actually, this seeding sucks - the South is loaded. JRP FTW.

A friend of mine took me to JRP and I said to him: "Why are we here to eat a cheesesteak?" He said" "Trust me."

And he was right as it was very good. Give it a try sometime.

Don't get me wrong - roast pork is just as much, if not moreso, the sandwich of Philadelphia. But John is serving up both sandwiches that are equally good.
