You know what guys, just because these ladies become a Mom it doesn't stop them having their own thing. I'm not a Mom, but I did grow up in the 60's/70's (I'm 46) and on 11th August 1979, 30 years to the day, I was at Led Zepp, Knebworth. I go to at least 20 Rock/Metal gigs a year. It doesn't surprise me that these Moms still have the passion for music (like some of you guys seemed surprised) It surprises me that the same band obsessed, 15 to 30 year old mates I used to see at every gig just don't go anymore - Thats sad!!!

I know what you mean so02see, my bf's folks still go to loads of gigs all the time which I think is how it should be. I know even at 32 I don't rush down the front like I used to but I'd hate to think that I'll stop going one day just because I get older. My old man doesn't go to gigs anymore even though he records his own music, he seems to think he is too old to go - I think it's a real shame. You are never 'too old' to enjoy yourself :) Music is ageless! :))

p.s I bet that Zep gig at Knebworth was amazing!!!

I agree. I think it's great my mom has good taste in music. Well she does when she listens to my stuff. If it wasn't for my mom playing Queen to me when I was a just more than a tadpole, I may be into the likes of Usher now. I think that is good news on everyone's behalf!!!!

Most moms are into Kenny G and Abba. I am glad my mom likes the Jam. And I have never heard her so excited about a gig, ever! She is in the nosebleed seats but I don't think she will mind!
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

Same here, I'm 34 now but went to see Pink Floyd and the Who with my parents who are 53 and 54 now and I know that I would love to see a Pearl Jam concert (hopefully they will still around ) with my sons who are 5,3 and 1 now.

I talked a little bit with a family at the SBE gig.. dad, mum and 2 teenagers... it was fun to see them there together enjoying the music

To comeback to the subjet of the thread .. THANK YOU PEARL JAM AND PEARL JAM FANS FOR A FANTASTIC NIGHT..... see you in Manchester and London

LOL, well, everyone has the right to listen to what they like I guess. Just no Kenny G for me thanks :)

I'm just glad my mum brought me up on the Stones and Queen and Dylan and so forth as I wonder what musical direction I'd have gone in otherwise :) Most of my friends at school liked East 17 or modern RnB - I guess I had a lucky escape :))

  • Hey all - the guy I sold my spare to at SBE just PM-ed me - he can't post yet but is looking for a photo of him outside the gig with his big cardboard sign ("please please please please"). Tall guy, mid thirties, blond hair...

    Anyone got one?
