A huge thanks to Blueledbetter for sorting me out at the 11th hour with a ticket, greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did.
Big up to the St Albans massive (esp Last Exit London -Rob) for taking me and Off Ramp (Mark) into their group and being such funny guys. Sorry I lost you straight away Rob but fate had it I ended up two rows in front of Mike, awesome!!

I guess a thank you should go to the Irish Fairy himself, Alfred, who allowed me to get to front row, and in process managed to help out JRD, Scratchin and Thierry... *wipes tear of joy*
Want to add my thanks too - what a lovely idea for a thread )
Big thanks to Ames for doing so much on here
Big thanks to Icemanap and MonkeyWrench101 up there for your kind words and the other nice folks who sent me messages this week
Big thanks to the lovely lady at the agency who helped me get tickets and who helped a few others out there get some too
And a very big thanks to all the lovely forum users who made trying to get tickets less of a horrible stress - it's great to see so many people in it together and helping each other out
What an amazing show ) We got in late so had to stand right at the back but wow, a night I will never forget
p.s does anyone know who a slim red and dark haired girl might be who was standing at the bar with her chap? She had the most amazing sleeve style tattooo and I am keen to know where she got it done!!
I think many people want to say thanks. It was hard for many people to get in and the PJ fans were so helpful. I wonder if other bands' fans would do the same. Everyone came together as one and for me it will not be forgotten. Was a great night because of the concert, it was made greated because of the people involved.
By the way Godess/Alis, I miss your facehugger..........
Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.
I would also like to thank Nurofen Ibroprofen Gel!
My calfs feel like I have just walked up Everest with a Renault Clio on my back, there was a lot of juming around done, probably out of the 25 tracks, I was jumping up and down for about 20 of them!
Still two days on, my calfs are not having a good time. But walking to work like John Waine is worth it after the euphoria which was SBE!
Rock on!!!!

I got in yesterday which was brilliant. I know this is like the Oscars but a few people I want to say thank you to for making a special night. I won't be on the forums today after probably risking the sack yesterday!
MonkeyWrench 101. We got together to try to find tickets but he was late so I got sorted and fortunately he did too. Had beer afterwards and a great laugh! Pdalowsky. Met me at the venue and tried to secure tickets for me. Tried everyone he knew and really took time out to help me, really appreciated that. Remfry. Apparently on the board but can’t find him. We queued up together and had a good laugh before being separated during the first song! Godess. Who according to Pdalowsky was trying to secure me a ticket via her industry sources despite not having my number Malcyrvs / BlueLedbetter / Neil Chaili. All for keeping me up to date with their spares. Ames_downstroke. For sorting out the lottery which was a brilliant gesture even though I didn’t win! A Scottish guy called Colin. He doesn’t come on the board though. I asked him for a spare, he recognised me in O’Neills afterwards and was chuffed I got in.
And last but not least the hero who let me have his spare ticket. I didn’t get his name but he had a dark shirt on and handed it to me after hearing a tout quote me £450! I was in the blue Billabong shirt if that was you, you made me a happy bunny!
Thank you all – quality night!
You lucky bugger! Wondered if you'd get in. I paid a tout £100 and it was a fake. Still gutted now. Should've known better.
A big thank you to Mirella and Dennis from Bugs for leaving the venue and coming to let us in at Sophie's and of course, a huge thank you to Sophie for letting two perfect strangers (the missus and myself) leave our luggage at her place. I know it's been said before, but PJ fans are just the best people!
Another big thank you goes to Redrock for letting us hang our flag in front of her and being the guardian of our flag throughout the show, helping us make the Croatian presence visible!

Hall of shame:
HMV - one pre-order cancellation coming your way!
You mean you didn't cancel it two weeks ago Joe?! When HMV shunted me out after taking my card details, I cancelled the order more or less straight away!
I knew the album was still several weeks off so I couldn't be bothered to cancel it straight away. Too many other things going on.
I know what you mean about jumping around, I just couldn't help moving to just about every song. I think I was still on a high yesterday at work, but today I feel dog tired, it has really caught up with me.
DRS - sorry to hear about your ticket, that sucks. I must admit I'd pretty much forgotten about the risk of fakes when I was asking around. Did you get in eventually?
DRS - sorry to hear about your ticket, that sucks. I must admit I'd pretty much forgotten about the risk of fakes when I was asking around. Did you get in eventually?
Nope. Stood around outside in a daze until about 9:40, saw a photographer with an Access All Areas pass leave 20 mins in and lots of (mainly) girls coming outside to smoke, then went home. Touts were still not dropping their asking price of £250 for a (probably) real ticket at that time!
DRS that is bloody awful, I really feel for ya :( I too totally forgot about fakes going around, I saw people outside still looking for spares and I did see a guy offering tout priced tickets but thankfully nobody seemed to be buying from him. Am so gutted for you that you couldn't get in, especially when there were about four girls standing behind us at the show who talked ALL the way through and paid NO attention to the show whatsoever - we assumed they were industry or something who were just there for the craic.
I guess a thank you should go to the Irish Fairy himself, Alfred, who allowed me to get to front row, and in process managed to help out JRD, Scratchin and Thierry... *wipes tear of joy*
stop, you're making me all emotional now...!
i'd say thanks to all the Irish fairies but, like one of Dunk's 'special party' guests, that might get taken the wrong way...
actuall, where IS Al, he's been very quiet since Tuesday night...?
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
I would also like to thank Nurofen Ibroprofen Gel!

DRS that really sucks, I am so sorry about that. Makes you want to scream. Shame you can't find a copper and take him to the tout, but it's not that simple. It ruins the whole night for me when I hear about things like this happening. If that was me I would have hunted the fucker down, took a photo of him and then kept punching him until I was hitting only pavement. A complete wart on the arsehole of humanity are people like that. Hopefully you get to the O2 and the boy play your favourite song for you.

Massive thanks to BlueLedbetter for fixing me up with a ticket. It's fucking great that there are good people out there. Reaffirming.
Thanks also to MINDWIREUK and Lastexitlondon for being awesome company in the queue. We pretty much all went our separate ways once the show started, but will have to hook up again at the MEN next week.

Big huge thank you to Neil Chaili who gave me his spare 10c ticket..great guy! What an absolutely amazing show!!
I'm just glad my ticket went to someone with such good taste! It's also good to hear other people who got in touch with me eventually made it in somehow.

Thank you for Corduroy too. I can't even begin to say how much that rocked. Really wanted to hear that tune. One of the more underrated tracks that but I love it to bits.
I just hope we get Black, Brain of J, Jeremy and Porch at the o2!

So glad you got in Ice, was gutted when my sister in law said she wanted my spare.
Like the dig at HMV!
Cheers & Beers.
Oh, & thank you Pearl jam for a glorious night.
Cheers Malc, was great to get in. I wish I knew the guy who sold me a ticket. I literally saw him for a minute then never again. I went up to some moomin at HMV on Oxford Street and vented my anger about the ticket faux pas. Shame he was only about 18 and nearly started crying, made me feel a bit better though!
My mom is now wetting herself in excitement looking forward to Manchester, I phoned her up when Given to Fly, Elderly Woman, Betterman and Ledbetter were on, they're four of her favourite songs!

I love that your mum likes PJ! How cool is that!! My b/f's dad likes Pearl Jam too, he saw them with my b/f back in the day at Wembley! I think my mum likes PJ too but more for the fact that she likes having a look at Eddie hahahahaha!

Police dont want to know, I got a letter from them saying they are investigating my case but doubt they'll actually do anything. Bet it was the same guy that sold me fake tickets. Makes me so angry
After reading this thread though, I really wish I'd come up on Tuesday and begged (wearing my princess leia slave bikini!!) instead of sitting at home sulking.
Glad you all had a great time though and I cant wait for the O2
Underneath this smile lies everything........... all my hopes, anger, pride and shame

When I was living with them up in Sheffield, we used to have music nights every saturday when we all used to stay in, my mom, my dad and me all played a track on DVD or CD which was quite cool. My mom played a Neil Finn DVD where Jonny Marr was on guitar, it was in Auckland I think. I am just watching it and my mom says 'this track is really good, it must be a b-side of his' so I thought ok fair enough. Then Eddy comes out to sing Parting Ways. I told my mom that was the singer of my favourite band Pearl Jam, she said he's got a great voice and some other things which I can't put on a family forum. I brought my PJ DVDS straight away (in Touring Band you can hardly see his face) and she was hooked ever since.
Rock on!!!!

LOL LOL LOL!!! How cool is your mum!! My mum is cool like that too, she used to be a bit of an old music goer herself, used to do all the Small Faces and TRex gigs etc in East London
My mom has never ever been to a bad gig. Every gig she goes to is 'amazing'. She went to see Keane the other week after they won tickets and said it was 'amazing'. Counting Crows were 'amazing' even though Adam Duritz kept falling over because he was drunk. She would go to see a man with spoons and he would be 'amazing', bless her she gets a tad over excited when she goes to gigs. I think Manchester on Monday may get her to pee her pants somewhat if that's the case.......
Was funny thought when I said I was off to Wembley and I was going standing. Mom said she would come. I said you know it's going to be jumping around, pushing, elbows in faces? She said she could handle it. Eventually my step dad talked her out of it!

That's awesome! She rocks! My mum came with me to a gig for my ex bf's band when they toured with (yuck) Dandy Warhols and my mum was up and about, jumping all over the place, getting tipsy and talking to all the 'famous people' !! And there was me saying 'hmm, think we need to go home now mum!' I think hers is a generational thing - she grew up in the 60s / 70s so has had that whole birth of rock n roll and hippiedom experience, lucky woman!!
You know what guys, just because these ladies become a Mom it doesn't stop them having their own thing. I'm not a Mom, but I did grow up in the 60's/70's (I'm 46) and on 11th August 1979, 30 years to the day, I was at Led Zepp, Knebworth. I go to at least 20 Rock/Metal gigs a year. It doesn't surprise me that these Moms still have the passion for music (like some of you guys seemed surprised) It surprises me that the same band obsessed, 15 to 30 year old mates I used to see at every gig just don't go anymore - Thats sad!!!
