I use a program called Mailwasher to check for emails every minute, for some reason it detected the email as spam so didn't even make the notification noise or blink in my system tray... if it had, I would have checked straight away as I was sitting browsing the forums. I didn't read the email till about 5:43pm when I saw the thread on here, replied straight away but obviously that was too late. Great time for Mailwasher to randomly mark the PJ email address as spam for no reason at all! I shouldn't complain as I have a ticket, but I really wanted to bring my fiancee along as well... she's gutted right now

    Hi guys

I really hope most of you on the original missed-out list were lucky enough to get tickets!! I will read through this thread in a sec to see who did and who didn't.

Please, please know - those of you who did miss out (and those of you who didn't) - some of us have worked very hard behind the scenes to make this new ticket allocation available and whilst I cannot reveal any names, please please believe me when I tell you that the people right at the heart of the industry worked their bums off to make these final tickets available to fans on here who missed out. They also worked really hard to try to stop touts wherever possible. I had been hoping for the past week that more tickets might become available to you all but I was unable to say anything in case it didn't happen - I'm thrilled to bits that a couple of people out there have been as good as their word to me and made this happen for everyone, so please send good karma up there and out in the direction of the nice people that did this. Believe me, they were 100% keen to ensure that ONLY fans who missed out on here were able to get these last tickets.

Those of you who didn't get tickets - can you please put your names on here or PM me - especially if you live in the area and are able to get to the venue quickly - in case more tickets do come up at short notice? PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LET ME KNOW BY MIDDAY TOMORROW, PLEASE!!!

    Thanks :)

Just PM'd you. If this comes though you really will be the Goddess of 10 club :D
I can get there pretty swiftly tomorrow even if the tix come in late

I swear to god I hope this was not a 10c scam to make them look good ... conspiracy theories are running in my head right now :?

    Hi everyone

I have deleted my previous post as I have been accused of taking credit for the ticket allocation and for being someone who you should apparently all be cautious of.

I am a pearl jam fan who has worked in the industry on and off for years. When the ticket problems happened with HMV i contacted a number of old industry people as I was desperate to know why it is that touts got tickets and we didnt. I have detailled this on THIS SITE over the past few weeks and asked people to post up their experiences so I had enough info to approach the industry with. Someone contacted me back by phone and we have talked over the past week about trying to get tickets for the 70 or so remaining fans on here who need tickets. Today I receieved a call verifiying that these tickets would go on sale to you all and how could we do this. Later today the decision was made by them to put the tickets on sale here with the help of a lady from the 10c who has arrived in England today for the gig.

This is not bullshit. I am not trying to take credit or score brownie points and I was actually trying to help everyone out . I have spent my whole week worrying about this and hoping it will happen for everyone. I have nothing to gain from it other than being pleased that everyone had tickets. I wrote my earlier post because so many people on here seemed to think today's 10c ticket sale was a scam so I thought maybe it was for the best if I told everyone about how the ticket allocation came through and that some of us have been trying to get tickets. Not for credit or brownie points but because that way, you know that 10c were not having a marketing ploy and so that you all know that people in the industry DO care about fans getting tickets. Everyone on here has had a shit time these past few weeks with HMV messing us about, it was my hope that people would finally get tickets.

I am not a bullshitter. But I'm now a pretty upset PJ fan.

    Hi everyone

I'm just reading through some of these posts. In response to - 'a scam to make them look good?' and other similar comments, I need to tell you all a little story.

I was personally involved in organising this ticket allocation. I have spent the past week working with a very helpful contact who sourced these tickets for all of US as they and the company they work for, and I, were so upset that many UK 10c members were unable to get face value tickets.

I have spent all day today on the phone to my contact, trying to find the best way of ensuring that the 10c members who missed out the FIRST time in the lottery got another chance to have some of these last few tickets. Ames and I have spent the best of the past few weeks rounding up names on here and we very recently started a NEW thread for those who still did NOT have tickets. This needed to happen so we could get names in the hope that this contact would come through for us and secure tickets for you all. I was absolutely unable to tell anyone on here that more tickets may come up due to the nature of the contact and also in case they did not come up, which would have been a real blow to everyone. I have been following up these tickets every day for the past week and only heard this morning that they would possibly be available after all. I have spent the best part of the afternoon discussing with the contact how best to sort out the tickets for everyone on here and our aim was to get as many of you tickets as possible.

As I haven't been on email today, I have only just caught up with these threads and it was decided by several of us earlier by telephone today that the fairest way to ensure YOU got tickets was to put them on sale on here to FAN CLUB MEMBERS only. I had originally had the possibility that I myself would be organising the allocation and I was even prepared to buy as many as possible and allocate them to as many of you you all if I could. However, luckily a fan club contact was INCREDIBLY helpful and went out of their way to ensure that this last alloocation was done properly, and fairly, via the 10c, this afternoon.

It was of the utmost importance to us that ebay touts did not have the chance to get these last few precious ticket. There are bound to be people who do not post on this forum very often who have been lucky and got tickets - it does not make them any less of a fan, does it? I know that there are going to be disappointed people out there, and I am truly sorry to all of you who have not scored a ticket but I would really like you to know that this past week has been a hub of a couple of us working hard behind the scenes back and forth to try to make these final tickets possible. I am just the person who represented you all to the right people but those right people went out of their way to help you, so please don't feel that this is a scam, a rip off, or a marketing ploy to make 10c look good :-) This was in fact a genuine and great moment of industry people trying to do the right thing.

This is not me asking for a pat on the back or a well done, this is me telling those of you who are disappointed or upset that I am a fan who has worked in the industry who was so upset by what happened to all of us that I felt something needed to be done. I contacted someone in the industry who I thought should know what experience we had with HMV etc and the result was that she worked with me to try to get these tickets for you all. And it happened, which was beyond anything I could have anticipated. I was expecting maybe 10 tickets but I told my contact we had at least 70 people on here who needed a ticket - the fact that they got 25 pairs is amazing and I was over the moon when I heard about it.

I sincerely hope that some of you from our original list got tickets, it was always our intention.

big love to all and may you ALL get a ticket x

have no idea who this person is...proceed with caution.
    slh
  • Goddess, if you are suggesting that these tickets have been conjured up by yourself and others, where have they come from?

Have they taken 50 VIP tickets and told the industry types who have them 'sorry'? (unlikely)
Have they oversold the venue by 50 to make this happen? (impossible)
Are they 50 tickets that were to be sold on the door? (possible)
    or...
Was this second lottery always going to happen? (possible)

Sorry to sound confrontational but your story sounds very, erm, incredible.
we're all going to the same place...
