Could be wrong, but pretty sure 5 cities in the USA, and the Oceana leg does not constitute the entirety of the Backspacer promo tour.

I agree 100% and its shaping up to look a lot like the riot act tour

Great point. Pretty much exactly what I was thinking, just didn't realize it's already been done. :D

i get the feeling that they will headline rothbury.

That probably wouldn't be good for me.... :(

I was planning on volunteering there next year!

I remember when a band member told me about a specific tour that was going to happen in 2008, guess what? It didn't happen. It was cancelled. Dont get too excited people.

This might sound weird, but for a variety of reasons, if Kelly Curtis say's it, I believe it to be way more legit than if a band member says it. Did you listen to some of these recent interviews where Stone and Mike didn't know when the album was coming out, or didn't seem to quite know the tour schedule? Kelly knows what he is talking about.

Also, I just want to point out that when the interview first came out in January where Ed said they wouldn't be touring next year, I said from the very beginning that the had to have been a misquote or misunderstanding. And I don't care where they play, inside or out, as long as it is close to me.
words seem so out of place.

I wasn't implying that they should NOT play there just because I was gonna volunteer there...just that it wouldn't be good for *me*. But I wouldn't ruin it for everyone else.

Ditto. At least stadium shows are better than no shows. We've been waiting 11 years for them to come back, so I'll take a couple of stadium shows if that's all they're offering.

There are four or five acts that would inspire me to hit a Stadium.

    In this order:

    Reunited Led Zeppelin
    Reunited Pink Floyd
    Reunited The Kinks
Reunited McCartney, Ringo, Julian or Sean Lennon, and one of Harrison's Kin.
Pearl Jam..... although it would probably only happen if I was in Australia or some other exotic (to me) location.

Lastly I'm considering going to the U2 360 tour..... but only if I can find a ticket on Craigslist day of the show for like $45.00, which I think I will.

"You know, I'll admit that even I felt some impact myself listening to it back the first time, and not even really knowing where it came from," Vedder says of the song, which he debuted this summer during a solo tour. "A lot of the songs on this record were ones I just tried to get out of the way of, without self-editing."

I find this rather funny...well, not really...it's ok to admit we have troubles in life and relationships. We are all human. I don't think he needs to try to cover it over. It's obviously fine now, right??? so who cares? It made for beautiful music. Just my opinion which means nothing I know.

Yeah but he is giving that to the whole world, that isn't so easy I'm sure. Everyone might be inclined to self-edit in front of others.

That's what makes artists so great, not only that they share their inner being with the world, but they have the talent to do so.
