I saw him weild a microphone stand at the last Mercer Street Arena show in 93. He chopped a hole in the stage, and did a damn fine job at it too.when you get confused just listen to the music play........

Got a very, very loyal following of fans who have kept listening through thick and thin. On the radio you will never hear anything other than Alive and Jeremy unless you listen really hard and most people can't believe they are still going. They sold the 02 out in 9 minutes according to the article, they are big but you wouldn't know it on airplay.
was listening to Planet Rock the other weekend, while cooking Sunday lunch, and heard them say something along the lines of '...coming up in the next hour there's tracks by blah, blah, blah and Pearl Jam..." at which point i immediately thought please play something other than Jeremy... 45 mins later and guess what they played...
it really is like Pearl Jam have one album and one single sometimes...Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?0 -

Absolute radio have been playing The Fixer, heard it a couple of times this weekend, couldnt believe it at first!!! 8-) Good that it getting played.0 -
Q very rarely put their feature pieces on the website. Sort of gets more people buying the mag I guess. Just browse through it in a shop if you can. There's nothing else worth buying the mag for!
Rock on!!!!
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.0 -
my local shops still only have the MJ cover one
and the site still lists it as the latest issue. http://covers.q4music.com
the link you posted sends to Kerrang?? weird.0 -

The Kasabian cover one came out about 6 days ago....really though the rest of the magazine is very uninteresting...
Interesting to see what review they give backspacer next month, especially given they gave the lasiest review I ever read on advocado and one star too0 -

They played it this morning at about 6.55am - its kinda weird hearing PJ on the radio - they NEVER usually get any air play, unless its on Zane Lowe........What made me laugh though was Christian O'Connell (the breakfast DJ) said something like "this song coming up is from one of my favourite bands" - really?? then how come I have never heard you (or any other Absolute dj for that matter) play one Pearl Jam song ever on your station :roll:2006 - Dublin, Reading; 2007 - London, Copenhagen; 2008 - MSG; 2009 - SBE, Manchester, London; 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London; 2012 - Manchester, Berlin; 2014 - Amsterdam, Milton Keynes; 2018 - London; 2022 - London; 2024 - Manchester0 -
O'Connel used to be on XFM and I'm not sure I ever heard him play PJ and he certainly never mentioned them like that.my_small_self wrote:valri wrote:Absolute radio have been playing The Fixer, heard it a couple of times this weekend, couldnt believe it at first!!! 8-) Good that it getting played.

"tour around the 10c base"? Is that really what it says?
If that is their strategy they will lose more fans than ever.
Like other's have said, it's not the most informative read. Tells you about a pinball machine in 10c HQ as well as boxes of merchendise etc... I didn't learn anything reading the piece but just good to see PJ in the UK press.
Glad they have been played on Absoloute. Listening to that station every day is like Groundhog Day. The same songs by the same artists come on at the same time!
