I can't believe opening one of the last ever editions of Q from my subscription which I cancelled the other week. Of course there's articles about U2, U2, Jack fuking Penate and U2. But on page 50 of the said magazine, the article Last Man Standing is all about our favourite band.

Of course there's the Nirvana comparisons, the what they have done since Ten, Ticketmaster disputes and more Nirvana comparisons but it's actually a decent read. Thought I would give you the heads up.
:D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

also, although I live in the US, I read NME from time to time and they rarely give any love to PJ. How popular are PJ in the UK?

Got a very, very loyal following of fans who have kept listening through thick and thin. On the radio you will never hear anything other than Alive and Jeremy unless you listen really hard and most people can't believe they are still going. They sold the 02 out in 9 minutes according to the article, they are big but you wouldn't know it on airplay.

I guess that's the same over here. I mean on the main big radio stations they rarely play anything else then those you mentioned. Its the smaller more independent stations that open up some other songs, but you'd never hear Tremor Christ or anything. Hail Hail is like as deep as it gets and I think that was a single at some point.
    Anyway, thanks for the response!

People may want to check www.qthemusic.com to see the link of the interview. It was a decent read but a tour around the 10c base was the most interesting piece, the rest we already knew from the article.

i'm a subscriber and so i get it a few days before general release (normally) and there are new photos of the guys in it, a new interview.. its actually a very favourable editorial of the band... the photos of the new rehearsal space are good.. same old backkground info... but it was a nice surprise as i flicked through the pages.

and Ed's new hobby is axe-throwing.. :o he also has an iPhone... so while he eschews technology i.e. promoting vinyl records and still uses a typewriter he does have an iPhone.. i presume 4,561 fans will now disown the band ;);)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

With the axe-throwing thing, until I read it myself, I almost think this is an elaborate hoax

The interview isn't on the website?
    Anywhere else to read it?

Actually, I was listening to one of the recent solo shows he did..Memphis...Nashville, not sure. That said, he talked about himself recently taking up axe throwing. So maybe not a hoax. Maybe it is just a new hobby....Strange as it were, a hobby nonetheless. :-)
