    Bonnnnaaroooo!!! :D8-)
that show was long and very wordy...Ed was spillin some guts that night.
My bad it did feel like 3 hours, but I was pretty tired from some other shows and substances....

YOOOO :D I second that call to defense of my 3 hours of Jam truth!
And they played for three 3 hours during a show at MSG way back in like 03...or was that 05?....i dunno but they made a DVD of those two shows (which I attended:-). Lets see when else did they play for three?

well ive only been to 5 (soo sad :| ) pearl jam shows but they played for over 2hrs and 15 minutes at 3 of them for sure. The price is worth it. IMO These guys are gettin older and who knows what might go down in the near future. IF you are a fan and have some cash to save (during these broke as F*ck times) put it deep down in ya pocket and save it for the next show. And if you are blessed enough to have that money, GET UP OFF Yo ASS AND ENJOY. Take a Bootleg home for memories of the goose bumps given to rise on ya happy little dermal surfaces. pay the price for a listen....if ya need it. 8-):D

  • I have a friend that rounds up. every show he's been to has been 3.5 hours to him. I've been with him at all the shows he's been to and the only 3 hour one was Buffalo '03. It's like he can't enjoy a show unless it's epic length. I don't know why he does it, but it drives me fucking crazy. He checks his watch through the whole show and is obsessed with length.

If there's one thing that Pearl Jam fans can NEVER complain about, it's the length of the shows. the shortest PJ show I was ever at was Hershey 2003.....and that was still longer than the Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine and pretty much every other concert I've ever been to.

ya i know what u mean... i think for me, i have this hope that every show i go see is going to be the BEST one ive ever been too.. .and i mean, its just dumb to go in to it with those types of expectations and also, ive seen some of the best fucking shows... MSG 3 all 3 Mansfield 03 Boston 06 with leash ... yada yada

ive learned more to just enjoy and have a blast being surprised with whatever they play, hope ED really feels the crowd that night and just have a blast in my awesome 10 c seats partyin with all you guys... then after the show ill spend a little more time thinkin bout setlist and length and stuff...

its tough tho, all the boots and all the shows and crazy setlists its easy to have those expectations every time

    LOVE THIS BAND!

yeah that hershey show wasnt that long. However it is true that most other concerts that i go to have never been as long as some PJ ones. Except MMJ (My morning Jacket). They sure like to go on marathons tho, that bonnaroo shit was bo-fuckin nannas, I had an asthma attack later that night :o lol

ALso to be fair you have to keep in mind that lots of times we see the setlist and it was 4 or 5 songs longer than what was played... which in some cases is due to the DOUCHE BAG VENUE CURFEWS that are around now

in 03 that 3rd mansfield show didnt end till 1145 and that had an 11 curfew... they got in some trouble for that... so thats why those 08 shows end at 11 those setlists were way longer if you look at the notes in the concert chronology... and the 2nd 08 show was awesome!

The show from Holland in 2000 wasn't that long, if I recall. Certainly one of those offical boots from mainland Europe has a very short set (compared to the norm).

PJ may not play for 3 hours but when you add in Eddie's preset and sometimes playing with the opening act, that pushes the time to over 3 hours, would you agree?

Ha! That's funny! It's one of those things where I can't go to shows with him anymore because he makes the whole experience a pain in the ass. I don't want to look at his watch the whole show. It sucks because he's got a great 10C number  He's also highly competative with shows. Like if I go to a show with him, then go to a show a few days later with my brother and I just happen to think that the show with my brother was better, he'll argue with me for hours about how I'm wrong and the show he was at was better. Like they play better just because he's there! I have no idea why he's like that, in every other aspect of life he's reasonable.

Athens 2006 was like 2:45..is this a contest?if they play 3 hours make them a better band?dont get it..they have to play more couse of the ticket prices?what about theaters make that..play for 3 hours instead of 2 that is the play and say the lines twice to catch the time :D
we need quality first of all..pj have it.so 15 minutes up - 15 minutes down is nothing
for sure we want them to play all night but...
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
