    well I think it is a much BIGGER shame that Philly locals got shut out of shows celebrating the closing of OUR historic arena and a bunch of out-of-towners got tickets. I think it sucks actually but PJ and 10C can do what they want on that front. Personally I feel it should have been local only or if the 31st happens it should be local only (or local 1st for that show). Whatever show is the last at the Spectrum, be it the 30th or 31st, should have been/should be local only in my opinion. Sorry if I can't feel bad for out-of-towners not getting tickets.

    Amen brother, I said TEN days ago, put this one to bed, man was I wrong! but this is ridiculous! Let's keep it going till we are all very happy or a little sad.

    Again, if they would tour like every other normal band and this won't be a problem. Us out-of-towners go there because they won't play within a 1000 fucking miles of here.

    I'm sure this has been brought up before but:

    1. If there isn't going to be a third show, why were the original shows scheduled for Wednesday and Friday? Wouldn't it have made more sense to do Friday and Saturday?

    2. If there was absolutely no chance of a third show in Philadelphia, wouldn't you think they would have made an announcement on this forum with all the posts?

    I mean, has anybody just called the ten club and asked?

    the point I was making is that we have had numerous rumors around here (ACL last year for example), some come to fruition, some dont, this just happens to be a more popular one given the venue and the lack of other east coast dates-so the speculation is running rampant
    regardless of the alleged sources, calls etc., I would not spend any any money or make any bets based upon the rumors
    you ever meet the folks who work at the spectrum box office? I would not put much faith in their words or someones sisters cousins brother-just saying

    1. because they will be going to NYC on thursday to tape letterman and ed will appear at the RnR hall of fame show (they tape two shows on Thursday, so its possible they will appear twice)
    2. The 10c does not confirm or deny rumors, they only announce confirmed shows

    but like everyone else, this is just masturbatory speculation ;)

    dave tapes 2 shows on mondays...but they may come up and do dave and the rnr show :D

    but I still think thats the plan-makes too much sense, not that I have any facts to back that up

    it used to be thursday but a while ago he changed it to mondays

    when i saw the r&r thing announced and saw the date i thought the same thing not that i have any facts either :D

    I could be wrong, but the only threads I've ever seen them close are ones that ARE TRUE, but they don't want people to know about it yet because of agreements behind the scene aren't ready to be announced.

    Example: Target craziness earlier this year.

    Well it's going to happen now!! I got a call today that I will be working away from home for 16 days, in the middle of the forest, no computer (Wildfire assignment near Yakima, WA). I have entrusted my wife to try for tickets if/when they show up. If I miss the pre-sale, good luck to all the Faithfull that are keeping this thread Alive! :mrgreen:

    I'm leaving for vacation Saturday............I'm sure the sale will promptly be announced @ The Minute I Leave My House EST.

    Maybe if we just stop talking about it they'll announce it. I honestly believe it's going to happen, at least one of the 2 shows. It's a little odd that the Spectrum initially had the 28, 30, 31 on their site then took the 31st down and that they scheduled 2 shows with a break in between when they have almost 3 weeks off before the shows and two weeks after to recoup. They're not that old, and I don't think the Philly shows will be that unbelievably, out of this world crazy that they'd need a day in between these two shows within a 5 week period to rest ;) ...OR maybe they will be!!! :shock: :o :shock:

    P.S. Sorry to the person that's going to open this up next thinking there is actual news in here.
