PJ last to play Spectrum

Comcast just announced PJ will be the last band to play the Spectrum....going to be two great nights.

    As a concert venue, the Spectrum will not live to see Halloween. The Pearl Jam shows on October 28 and October 30 will be the Spectrums last.

    I'm choosing not to believe this because my sources say Phish will play the Spectrum on November 13 & 14. Unfortunately my sources are a bunch of stoners on a Phish message board, but they can be very convincing.

    That doesn't say there won't be something 10/31 or that shows won't be added. The writer probably had no idea of the possibility.

    I have always heard they had 4 nights booked in Philly so you never know. Now all we need is the Phillies in the World Series and what a week it would be.

    FYI- This was announced on the radio as well. The "Blog" is drawn from an official announcement.

    I think the announcement that Pearl Jam is the last band there is "official," but that the article doesn't preclude a third show from being added.

    I forgot about that in between day... If a third show was not likely, I doubt they would have had a day off between the two scheduled shows. Would have made more sense to do Wednesday and Thursday and add another show Saturday if needed.

    I don't think this family values theme is as predominant as you guys make it sound. Why would they do ALL THREE shows during the week? It'll be Saturday.

    The post also mentioned Phish playing, but still stipulated PJ would be last, so Phish would play dates before the PJ dates, not after.

    And would Ed have played the Tower on his daughter's bday last month if he wanted to be home for Halloween? I think bdays are slightly more important than Halloween.
