Im the opposite of you. I like the little I have heard from the The Fixer and dont like Got Some at all. Not really that crazy about The End. I do like Unthought Known. I thought it sounded kind of bland, the singing sounded too much like on avocado (which I don't like Eddies vocals on) and it sounded like they had played around with effects on Eddies voice.

Consider me stoked! Got Some and this little snippet has me pretty juiced. Glad I only got the snippet thus far though...hoping to hear it on the radio next week. I'm totally changing my approach to this record this time. Not reading any reviews or listening to any songs other than what the band puts out there...will make getting the album at the store that much sweeter I think.0

I don't know how people can say it sounds bland, to me it seems like it's pretty damn fun, and I think Eddie sounds livelier than he has in a while.

It was pretty cool i was sitting there last night watching the end of the game. I flipped back because espn was on a commercial break and joe buck was saying goodbye. I noticed in the bottem it said something like "the fixer" performed by pearl jam....
I was like oh damn they played it and i missed it. Then a second later joe said and we'll leave you with new music from pearl jam

After listening to the clip again I can already say this has MUCH more potential than Got Some!0

Got Some is an awesome song, but its just not catchy.. I had to listen to it a few dozen times before I liked it. It's a more complex song with no real defined hook. 1) 30 second cock tease of "The Fixer"
2) Live version of "Got Some" from the Tonight Show mixed by some demented tone deaf alcoholic
3) Solo acoustic version of "Unthought Known" that likely bares no resemblence to the final cut

I can honestly say that I'm very excited by the direction the band appears to be heading with "Backspacer"0 -
I find it kinda funny that the short crappy clip could really get people that excited for the song. That's hardly enough. I'm kinda surpised that 10C doesn't offer a free download of the entire song with each preorder of either the album or the single vinyl.hippiemom = goodness0
